In light of what happened in 2010, I’m a bit concerned with Nevada and Colorado. Whoever the Republican nominee is, I think s/he will have hard time to win if these two go to 0bama.
What you’re saying about economic condition next year might be true, but I bet we will not have the media highlighting it. Even if the unemployment rate, inflation, government debt, and other economic indicators are in red, ordinary people will not see in the news. Only if they feel the problem themselves that people start to open their eyes.
I see this as the “Galt” election. If the nobamites win, many will detach as much as possible and play the system for whatever they get GET. I bet most could GET more than the average mentally insufficient LIB/DIM.
Why don’t most people believe the recession has ended?

The author should get out of Disneyland and the world of make believe because out here in the real world not many people think obamba’s great.
“Well I hope Barry has his birth ceritificat because the COLB just aint gonna do it this time around.
“Well, you sound like the neo-Marxist lefties”
Are you insane or just an Obamao troll who had too much Kool Aid at happy hour tonight? I vote Obamao Troll.
I think it will be more than one. Obama is not going to be able to just ignore this BC problem in 2012.
“Are you insane or just an Obamao troll”
No, dear..I forgot to put the /s
I know that you are not an Obot.
I do, however, hope that he DOES NOT have a birth certificate, and he is thrown out on his sorry ass.
“I do, however, hope that he DOES NOT have a birth certificate, and he is thrown out on his sorry ass.”
Yeh which is why I said the COLB won’t do this time around. If that guy has a BC I’m a full bred Leprachuan.
well, if an acceptable Conservative candidate is not on the ballot, and Mittens manages to get the nomination, I propose an underground movement to write in a selected conservative candidate.
re: the pic of mitty. You left off the twinkle from his diamond tooth.
Dare I say it, but Trump may be “The One” to beat “The One.”
Trump can beat him. Warts and all.
If it came down to Trump vs. Obama, I’d crawl over broken glass to vote for The Donald.
“I tend to think the article has some truth in it. The American people are very sick, there are large numbers of illegals who will vote for him and he has a large black bloc in his corner. The Republicans at this time appear to have no really credible candidate. It does not look good.”
A well-reasoned post. Not what most readers here want to see, but sometimes facing reality isn’t pleasant.
Although I think you’re being just a bit oblique in your comment that “the American people are very sick”. It’s not that a growing percentage of the population is “sick”. Rather, it’s that a burgeoning part of the population (not yet the majority, but it’s not that many more years before they WILL become the majority) simply believe differently than the [now receding] “traditional” American population of years past.
They simply do not understand what traditional American beliefs ever were, and, quite frankly, consider such beliefs and precepts to be “racist”, “xenophobic”, or what-have-you. The “America” they want to see is completely different than the America that the traditionalists established and fought for for two centuries.
And yes, there is an ethnic — dare I say, racial — element to this. The “new Americans” simply don’t want to live under the same national ideals that the “old white men” established. And as soon as they gain an electoral majority, there will be changes made.
It may be too late now. Not even the Republicans, who are supposed to be “on our side”, are going to do a damn thing to reverse or even slow the demographic waves that are sweeping over the nation like a high tide flows over a sandbar.
I wish I had more optimism, but I’m a realist....
As for 2012, I want to see Palin run. Win or lose, she’s one of a very, very few out there who can still stir up the passions of “the old Americans”. It will be a contentious election, after which we old white guys will know our fate, one way or the other.
I won’t predict whether she would win or not.
It could be like 1980 all over again.
Or... it could be like 1964.
Just sayin’....
*******
All I can say is this: If Obama has NOT released his Hawaii long form birth certificate---if it even exists---and his Occidental California college records by election day Nov. 2012, then there is no way in hell that I am going to vote for him.
What I will do on election day---after I stop and buy some gas at $5 a gallon on my way to my voting site---is walk into the voting booth and vote for someone other than Obama.
If the Republican candidate is someone I feel comfortable voting for, I will vote for him.
And after I vote, I might even stop at the gas station again to buy me some more of that $5 a gallon gas and to get me a snack to eat on my drive home.
Let's see, if I buy 10 gallons at $5 a gallon on election day Nov. 2012, that will come up to $50 dollars.
So, on second thought, I guess I will have to forget that snack I planned to buy to eat on the way home, because after spending $50 dollars on 10 gallons of gas, I probably won't have any money left to buy even a small snack.
Sick=a mere demographic not a people, loss of ability to even defend ones self, the highest values being eating, drinking, drugging, copulating, evacuating the bowels and snoring!
