I also believe the huge undecided (I think it was somewhere around 25-30%) broke for Fiorina after the Palin endorsement especially after she clarified that Campbell was a RINO.

I read this was one of the hardest decisions that Palin had to make but she saw that Devore was not gaining traction (until this last poll he had not garnered more than 16% of the vote)and that Fiorina had the best chance to stop Campbell.

And what many people still miss about the Tea Party movement (I did until a couple of months ago as well) is that the Tea Partiers are NOT rabid so-cons but actually more libertarian in orientation and more concerned about fiscal issues (deficit, taxes, budget, entitlements etc)than they are about abortion or gay rights or Afghanistan.

That Sarah Palin is the “star” of the TPM is a tribute to her eclectic political presentation that she is able to come off as a strong fiscal conservative to these folks without alienating them because of her strong view on pro-life and the role of the military in American life.

Sarah Palin is definitely not a one-trick pony as many of her critics would have you believe.

Why Sarah Palin is considered so dangerous to the GOP establishment is that she is not fixated on one leg of the 3-legged stool as so many conservatives are.

To say that Fiorina is not conservative because she is a little weaker on one leg of the stool (social conservatism) is disingenuous as to say that Mike Huckabee is not a conservative because he embraces social conservatism but is fiscally moderate.

Both are conservatives; neither are RINO’s. Are either one of them my ideal candidate. Hell no! But they are better than anything the Dems have to offer and they certainly are better than Lindsay Graham or the other RINO’s in Congress.

“I got robocalled by John Kyl tonight. Carly is who the Senate leadership wants”

I got it also, that’s the best reason to vote against her!

Unfortunately the company we work for got burned very badly using HP printers. They were failing so bad we had to use priortiy delivery, ground was too slow to keep our field depot supply in stock.

I'll be happy for California when this election is done, not to mention for FR.

Like it or not, Fiorina has the momentum and the full blown RINO will not be the candidate.

Wow..regardless how you feel about a candidate, calling a woman a b**** is very disrespectful- Maybe it is my southern heritage. But, alas you will be supporting Boxer if Fiorina wins..so whatever

It’s not Reagan’s California any more.

The handwriting has been on the wall for years. It was telling when Tom McClintock couldn’t get elected governor, Ahnold won, and McClintock later won a U.S. House seat. That demonstrated that some congressional districts are conservative bastions in an otherwise blue state. So you have McClintock, Issa, Hunter Jr., etc. who can still win Congressional races easily, but none of them can win statewide, i.e., a Senate seat or the governorship.

Meanwhile the state assembly and the unions continue to destroy the last vestiges of capitalism in California, forcing the major corporations to move elsewhere.

Just how bad do things have to get before the CA libs will wise up?

Why Sarah Palin is considered so dangerous to the GOP establishment is that she is not fixated on one leg of the 3-legged stool as so many conservatives are.

That's because she actually understands the Reagan-Buckley principles that built a conservative majority and snatched control of the GOP away from the RINOs for the first time since the '20s.

The modern GOP understands that she knows it and they will do virtually anything to stop her. The question is will they destroy the party over it? They acquiesced to Reagan's takeover but did not give in to Goldwater. Nelson Rockefeller took a walk and Goldwater got crushed.

Shall I list things Boxer and her ilk broke, and that would HP and any company that tries to do business here.

Unbelievable.

yes personally I like Devore but he never got out of 3rd place. There comes a time when the writing is on the wall and adults see that reality is reality. devore should man up and throw his support to Carly to ensure Campbell doesn't win it. there is a lesson here too. Fiscal conservative trumps social conservative issues in this election cycle. Defense issues also play a role but fiscal matters trump them all.
