Oh I’m sure they will. Agreed, he was drunk and most likely had bad intentions-—clearly wasn’t in the right state of mind. She did do what she had to do and I’m glad she did, but I bet you she’s going over the situation in her mind, wondering if she could’ve inflicted a non-life ending wound.

That is hard to do with a shotgun at close range (although I don’t know if it was birdshot or buckshot in the gun). Add to that, fear and adrenaline, and there really could have been no other outcome.

I don’t doubt she wonders if she could have handled it differently, I think that is a natural response. But from the outside in, she did exactly what she should have done.
