The two Republicans who failed to cast a vote should also be on the list, their lack of vote didn’t help.

Now, I don’t give a rats what the reasons, any Republican who voted for or did not vote in the negative needs to be held accountable. Fortunately my Congressperson was able to vote against, but I’m betting it was why she still had not made up her mind by late in the day.

The House is basically in recess until July 5, 1 day after the 5 day "vote reversal" option expires. There is nothing that can be done to alter the existing votes. There are however, several things that can be done:

1) Tell the RNC that no money will be forthcoming until these traitors are ousted, and no funds or logistical support should be supplied to them under any circumstances. They are to be considered Democrats.

2) Tell these cretins that you will work tirelessly for their opposition.

3) Focus on your Senators. This can still die in the Senate.

4) Gather torches, pitchforks (or their semi-auto equivalents), rope, and begin constructing sturdy scaffolding, in case this letter-writing/phone calling crap doesn't have any effect on our Lords and Ladies of the Royal Congress.

Sadly, all three of our Congressmen from New Mexico voted for it. I think they are thinking that the more onerous parts of this won’t kick in until after the 2010 election, and the parts that will affect people most painfully won’t be fully felt until after the 2012 election. By then they think there will be enough distance between the results and their vote so that they won’t be accused.
