Former Florida Governor JEB Bush has decided not to persue the Senate Seat being vacated by retiring Republican Senator Mel Martinez. JEB was considered the top candidate for the office. Mr. Bush has stated that he is not yet prepared to return to public office.
Like I said, keep looking. Good luck. And in 2010, say hello to a Democrat Senator from Florida. Congratulations on YOUR defeatism.
When has Jeb said anything about the bailouts? Nice gigantic assumpmtions. Fact is, Jeb Bush when put along the political spectrum is a conservative in nearly all reasonable definitions of the word.
The guy would have won in a landslide and been a conservative member of the U.S Senate. I respect his decision not to run, but I stand in amazement at those conservatives happy at his decision not to. I suppose you’d rather have a fight for the FL senate seat and possibly make it easier for the Democrats to get to 60.
Here’s hoping Rubio runs at least, he seems to have a chance. The others would lose.
Hopefully our recruitment efforts are better in other states, Senator Cornyn.
Who cares if the democrat has a D or an R.
Has he come out against them?
I doubt not.
If there was ever an American family who wanted these bailouts, it’s the Bush family.
Republican Socialism is only slightly less worse than Democrat Socialism. Capitalists should oppose both.
I am not surprised; Jeb never had an interest in serving in the Senate, nor continuing his political career past 2006. The seat would have been his had he run.
