Former Florida Governor JEB Bush has decided not to persue the Senate Seat being vacated by retiring Republican Senator Mel Martinez. JEB was considered the top candidate for the office. Mr. Bush has stated that he is not yet prepared to return to public office.

Wide open fight, the RINOS will have their man. I would not be surprised if Charlie resigned his current term as Governor to run.

This sucks...would have been a slam dunk. I can see our recruiting efforts are off to a great start. Why won’t our “big guns” ever run? Very dissapointing. Jeb Bush would make a fabulous member of the US Senate.

Actually Jeb was the Bush who should have ran for president in 2000.

I think its smart. People are tired of Bushes and Kennedys and Clintons.

I think Jeb would have fared much better than George W. in the first place.

The Bush Family has done quite enough for America, it’s time they all received the retirement and rest they have earned.

I believe you are correct. I believe somewhere down the road, Jeb Bush will be a welcome face and a nostalgia candidate. First, we have to truly lose our way. He figures he has until 2016 foir that.

Jeb Bush supported (along with Mel Martinez and George Bush) amnesty for tens of millions of illegals, which would have eventually brought in hundreds of millions of Latinos into this country.

"Jeb Bush supported (along with Mel Martinez and George Bush) amnesty for tens of millions of illegals"

It IS kind of funny when, following an embarrassment of an election, we call out for a return to conservative values:-
Then whine when a bold print non-conservative fails to carry our banner.

Dude, it’s one issue. He’s a solid conservative on many others. Go ahead and keep looking for your perfect candidate.

Don’t know anything about Jeb Bush.

Don’t want to.

Hope another conservative Republican takes the Florida Senate Seat.

I have HAD it with damn dynasties: Kennedys, Clintons, Bushes.

And the Bush family has more than done its share to help defeat real conservatism in the Republican Party from Bush I to Bush II and we can thank Bush II for all the illegal invaders in America along with the Islamophile socialist in the White House.

Its time for “Good-Bye to Bushes.”

“Jeb Bush would make a fabulous member of the US Senate.”

This is not the type of thing I want to read. Let’s not let the GOP give us another Bush.

“Go ahead and keep looking for your perfect candidate.”

Who’s looking for a perfect candidate? That comment is plain defeatism. “Dude, that’s one issue.” It’s not like this is a game or fantasy football draft. We’re talking about the sovereignty of our nation, dude. There are several a few issues that if a guy can’t get those right he’s disqualified. One of those issues is that this country is distinct from Mexico. Amnesty was all about dissolving that distinction.

And what may I ask is so exciting about Jeb Bush—another Bush—becoming a Senator. I, for one, have seen enough Bushes to last me a lifetime.

Bush senior failed. “W” failed—in the end. Heck, ol’ Jeb never did get a handle on Florida education (an oxymoron) or DYFS. Didn’t even see the demrat attempt to negate the 2001 Presidential Election results in Florida coming.

To be honest the only thing positive that will come out of The Marxist Onada’s inauguration is Bush’s departure from the presidency. He will not be able to do any more damage to the country.

I am going to go out on a wild limb here, but guess that Jeb Bush supports the bank/AIG bailouts, Fanny Mae bailouts, auto industry bailouts, and other big spending programs, like hundreds of billions for “infrstructure” and “green energy” programs.

He’s just another Big Government (compassionate conservative) Republican. I will admit he was an effective Governor on some issues.

I am not looking for the “perfect candidate” (And I am willing to bet I worked much harder than you did trying to get McCain elected), rather, but maybe someone to at least take a principled stand?

We are the furthest time away from an election, what time better than now to hash it out within the party and its future direction? I don’t particularly think staying on a familial course for power is the best thing for America at this moment in time, and that’s why I take a principled stand against Jeb Bush in Jan, 2009.

Jeb ain’t a friend of mine. Florida’s a mess and it can’t all be Charlie Crist’s fault except for Crist trying to be just like Ahnold.
