Not the answer to my question, but very revealing.
Just a little government here and there.
As does a lot of prescription drugs, so whats your point.
And what the nanny government says is gospel? A real sheeple remark on your part.
My God, do you realize what you've said here? I have rarely heard such a bloodchilling statement on this forum. Heaven help us if people who think like you do actually win this battle for freedom.
Regards,
Ahhh... Well, high calorie, high fat food is next. I hope you don't miss your cheeseburgers. But then, that's a good thing, according to your post... "the government has a right to enforce a healthy environment for all of us."

So, you want the gubmint to be your mommy and daddy... That's fine. Just don't be suprised when "they" decide that certain things you happen to like are determines to be "unhealthy" for you... Could be anything... Banning of motorcycles, sky-diving, scuba diving, off-roading, hunting, skiing, sailing, shooting... All of these are "dangerous passtimes."
Other stuff? Have you seen the warnings on bottles of alcohol? Can't have any of that stuff any more. Too dangerous: You might decide to take a drive somewhere. Give up on eating that pizza, or having pie for desert. And Oreo cookies? Forget it. No milk either... Well, maybe they'll allow milk. Dairy farmers have a pretty stong lobby... Are you getting the picture? The more power you give the gubmint over micro-managing your life, the greater the impact of the laws of unintended consequences... Example? How about when the luxury tax went into effect, how much additional money did it generate? The bigger question should be, how many businesses did it run out of business? How many ship building companies went broke? How did it effect the private airplane business?

No they haven't and no they won't.
Most nonsmokers who go to bars don't care about smoking one way or the other, The same with restaurants most people don't care if there is a smoking section.
Bars and Restaurants will always lose money when a ban happens because the small minority of Whiney people like you who are really bothered by smoking just aren't the type of people who go out and spend a lot of money at bars and restaurants, Because people there are having fun and fun is the last thing you miserable people are capable of. I know your type you go to a restaurant/bar and just order a salad and maybe have a glass of white wine and you are home in bed by 8:30, Yeah that outta make up for all the lost heavy drinkers.
I read a report from NYC which showed an increase in businesses.
Really then please explain the following

Hmmmmm, New York buisness is down and places are going out of buisness while across the border in New Jersey buisness is booming (Since the ban in my town a new bar opened and another one is opening up soon and they and the others are all booming). Coincidence???
Why aren't nonsmokers (The Majority remember) poring over from NJ into NY? So where are all these nonsmokers that you claim will be attracted to the smoke free environment????
Sorry pal, But it doesn't take a genius to figure it out.
