Maybe it's the mood I'm in ----but if it was consensual ----why not just let them agree to be killed and eaten? Do we as a society really need to keep this type around? If we need to lock them up to prevent them from going through with this, why do taxpayers need to pay their costs?
That's a very good point. My first thought is compassion, which is something I haven't had much of until recently. There was a time in my life when, well, let's just say there was a time in my life when many people showed me true compassion. I was very grateful they told me things I didn't really want to hear but needed to hear.
I could have been a burden on society or I could have been a productive member of society and these folks helped me become the latter. Some folks might say that's debateable!
