I was at a local art exhibition years ago. An artist, a young man, painted horrifying daylight fluorescent paintings of various rapes he had endured. It seemed to be the only way he had of coping with the nightmares. What a ruined life. Many people stalked away from the exhibit in disgust.
My only disgust was that he felt too helpless to go hunt the men depicted down and blow their brains out.
Fifty years ago we would have all had the same reaction to the idea of homosexual groups demanding societal acceptance.
