You've got to be kidding me! These fools seek to make it illegal to smoke out of doors?!

I don't even smoke and I'm opposed to this.

Because the hazards of smoking can best be delt with by smoking inside a confined space where the smoke will not easily dissipate. . .

"to extend the alcohol ban to include sealed containers.
Kendrick said officers frequently encounter people in parks with sealed containers. Once the officers leave, the people consume the drinks"

What about those people with ( gasp ! ) an OPEN pack of cigarettes in their pocket ?

Once the officers leave, the people consume the drinks.

This has got to stop.

Perhaps the officers should try shooting the potential offenders before they leave. (sarcasm)

It's already illegal to drink alcoholic beverages in city parks, and smoking is illegal within 25 feet of playgrounds, but Kendrick says that's not enough to "protect the children."

Where have I hear this line before?
