I have had no luck buying cigarettes on the internet. The site - in Switzerland - advertises absurdly low prices but won't recognize my credit card numbers. Anybody out there know how to do this?

Won't recognize them? Are you sure the prices are in dollars?

Also, ever try any of the Indian sites here in the U.S.?

Where I'm living, it's cheaper to pay the state tax (one of the lowest in the U.S.) than to buy Indian. A carton for $22.50.

Looking towards Switzerland is certainly one way to avoid worrying about the company reporting its sale to the state, but you'd probably have a lot more success trying any of the Indian based sites here in the US.

Search Google or Alta Vista for stuff like "Indian tobacco smoke shop online" and you'll get plenty of hits.

For the truly budget conscious, you can try the roll-your-own sites (ryotobacco.com, stuffyourown.com).

*I have no stake in any of those sites.*

We order from an Indian site called "Honor Our Treaties" (HOT). Takes a week to ship to the left coast. They honor the credit cards with no problem. Their price isn't the BEST ($31.00 per carton), but they are very dependable.

I have heard of that place but never tried it, but the van driver that moved me told me about it so they must accept some credit cards. Do an internet search and look for Indian Reservations, or places in Virginia. I used to get them from a place in VA and if you order 5 cartons there is no shipping charges. I haven't paid more than $22 for a carton since I moved and that's on the open market, but we are in a little "off the beaten track" area. Look at several sites and see who offers the best deal on your brand. I can probably find you some links if you are really interested freep mail me.

Cheapest smokes on the net are at www.yesmoke.com and yes I have ordered from them and yes they are for real. Only one catch: when you order a carton of cigarettes, they send you ten packs, but you don't get the cardboard 'carton' they should normally come in. They arrive in a cushioned, soft-sided envelope.

I ordered from the site because I wanted Gauloises Blondes, which are very good French cigarettes but not sold in the states. But they have a carton of Marlboro Redpacks on there for $15.

TWO CARTON MINIMUM but at those prices who cares?

I have no affiliation with this site except for occasional purchases and deep appreciation.

Maybe they just "collect" credit card numbers.

Stuff your own cigarettes for 50-60 cents a pack.

Go to your local smoke shop, buy the better stuffing machine (around 30 bucks, I got a supermatic II). Tobacco is $9-14 a pound, tubes are $1.50-2.00 a carton. They have lights, menthol etc.
Takes about 10 minutes to stuff a pack.
You can also go to:

When I have $40 in 1 place I'll go to cigarettes-for-less.net. My secured VISA works fine.

My sil has been using that one (yesmokes.com) for more than a year. You don't have another cc? Of course, I suggest everyone try RYO. The new machines make it easy, fast and cheap. I can make a carton of additive-free, virtually tax-free cigarettes in a bit over an hour for $8. Right now, we're below the radar. Tax on a pound of loose tobacco which makes about 3 cartons is only 55 cents. So even if the man comes knockin' he won't get to dig too deep. RYO Magazine

I smoke a brand name cigarette and I have found about a 10 dollar a carton savings on the internet. Cigarettesforless.com I think if you order 5 cartons the shipping is free but I always order 10.
