We have a local Italian pizza restaurant that went smoke free about six months ago . I used to have lunch there about once a week, but when the ban went in effect I stopped going.

Last week I stopped to pick up a carry out pizza in the evening and they had a sign up SMOKING ALLOWED BETWEEN 11:00 AND 4:00 PM. I asked the cashier why they changed and she said they had lost most of their lunch business.......imagine that !!!

Cool.

Does anybody know a restaurant that has voluntarily banned smoking, besides McDonalds and other fast food places? If smoking bans were good ideas and good for business, PRIVATE ENTERPRISE would be doing it big-time.

There is a bar/dance club/live music venue that went smoke free in Omaha...for about a month.

Well, as the lawmakers and the anti-smokers tell it: there will be NO loss of business. In fact! Business will PICK UP because all the people who can't stand smoking will pick up the SLACK!

You believe that and I have a condo I can sell you over the Baltimore River. heh!
