I bought a SupermaticII ($30) cigarette making machine, and now make 5 packs of cigs for ~$4, which is the cost of the "tubes" and bulk premium tobacco.

I find it relaxing and theraputic to dick the tobacco-nazis out of thier extortion taxes in the 15 minutes it takes to make that 1/2 carton ofcigs.

The U.N. is against cigarette smoking but for abortion. Actually what they are against is tax revenue that they believe is being lost and should be going to liberal governments instead of into consumers pockets. This is the democrats real objection to war - they have promised their constituencies that money will go to wasteful social programs and any money that goes to defense instead is money that doesn't go to their socialist promises.

Mr RATS: I have a writ here that says you are to stop your socialist nanny state policies forthwith. Now it's a RAT writ writ for a RAT, and this is lawful service of same.

Just received your ping!

We have rolled our own for over a year now. The savings is mind boggling. Love it! Haven't looked back. And by not paying into the state coffers any more just makes it all the sweeter!

Way to go, Greydog. I don't smoke, and never have. But, I think the anti-smoking nazi's are going way overboard. Both my parents smoked, I didn't kill me, yet, and I'm 40, nor did it turn me into a smoker.

I brew my own beer for similar reasons, not to mention its a lot better tasting.

I hate to burst anyone's bubble here - but you are paying taxes on the bulk tobacco, just not as much as those on cigarettes.

Bulk tobacco is generally taxed as a percentage of the wholesale price, which is why it is so much lower than the cigarette taxes which are based per pack.

And if anyone is buying Bugler tobacco you are also paying into the Master Settlement agreement - because it is produced by Brown and Williamson.

I make my own as well, have been for just about 3 years and estimated that we have cost the state of Delaware alone over $1500 in taxes and MSA payments in each of those years.
