Well, if this isn't poetic justice. When I was in school (back before dirt) we had to hide in the boy's room. And when a teacher walked in, if I had just inhaled, almost got toxic smoke syndrome from holding my breath to hide the smoke.
Now the teachers will have to sneak a smoke in the toilet. Elicits kind of a funny image.

I thought that smoking was banned in most public buildings....except of course the legislative lounges. You cannot expect the legislature to live by the laws they pass for the rest of us to live by.

Good. About time. Tell me. Why should I not be allowed to step off at the side of a high school football game and have a smoke?
There is no issue about me polluting the air. Doesn't happen.
Are you worried about me being a bad influence on your kids? If so, we can talk about bad influences. There are many of those, and my position is that smoking doesn't rank very high on the scale. That doesn't mean that it's a good thing to do, but it's certainly not the worst.
It's actually quite pleasurable. Aside from sex, there is not much that is more enjoyable than a smoke and glass of Cabernet.

"Aside from sex, there is not much that is more enjoyable than a smoke and glass of Cabernet." Sex and Cabernet are next on the list to be banned, also fatty foods, SUVs, and private property, all courtesy of these American Taliban.

Few teachers use tobacco any more, said Virginia Education Association representative John Baldino, a former smoker himself. How does HE know? Maybe the teachers he has NOW don't smoke. But many left the professional when they no longer had their smoking lounge. And couldn't even smoke in the cars on the school lot........ FOR THE KIDS YOU KNOW!!!
Smoking is the relaxation of choice for many people. And being a teacher has MANY STRESSES! What would this guy prefer his teachers do for relaxation: prescription drugs.....or BOOZE!
