Didn't someone open a nonsmoking casino in Vegas in the late 90's and it tanked? Does anyone remember? I love LV, and I like to smoke when I gamble. A doctor from LA bummed a smoke off me while there once. He said he had to come to LV to smoke, because it is so politically incorrect in LA.

I just watched a documentary on Las Vegas. They tried for awhile to make it Family Friendly. But, that did not work. Adults who went to Sin City did not want to skirt around baby carriages. So, Las Vegas went back to be the adult STRIP it always has been. Now, the health fanatics want to go in and take away an adult activity: smoking.

Smoking and drinking and playing the slots are for adults. I can't believe they are going to ruin the city over the smoking issue, when all the casinos have huge smoke eaters that take care of it all.

Silver City was a great little casino, always packed. They went non-smoking in the late 90's. Within 3 years they went under.

Two of the casinos on the strip tried the no-smoking nonsense. After a 40% drop in revenue (pre 9-11) they reversed course quickly. I will not spend my money in a no smoking casino. I enjoy my cigars too much. If the whackos don't like it, I'd suggest they go to Disney or hug a tree and eat some tofu, or whatever it is those communists enjoy doing.
