The author states:

And where in the Constitution does the "right" emanate from?

Amendment IX

"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to DENY OR DISPARAGE OTHERS (rights) RETAINED BY THE PEOPLE."

No ambiguity there.
