In other words, Bloomberg is a maniac.

No one is forced to be a patron of an establishment where smoking is tolerated. No one.

It is beyond the scope of government's authority to tell private property owners what they can and can't do with their establishments.

Yet, it turns out, Bloomberg was actually a lifelong Democrat who merely switched parties to avoid a crowded and difficult primary race.

Even WORSE than a RINO. A demoncrat POSING as a RINO.

Bloomberg is not representative of the GOP as a whole...and Farrah's Libertarian rants, the I-will-prove-how-principled-I-am-by-not-voting-for-republicans-and-therefore-assure-democrats-get-elected, flies in the face of all he claims to stand for....the old LP cult-speak of "they are all the same" (except for the pure 100% patriot LP, of course) is NOT getting the job done. It is true that both parties are far from true to the Constitution. It is also true that the democrats are far more dangerous than the GOP...the reality is that if you are NOT in power, and the LP doesn't have a prayer of controlling either house of Congress, then you have to work within the existing parties to bring about the changes needed (and I agree with the changes needed that Farrah speaks of). The "princilpled" LP may assure the final destruction of the Constitution by acting out their version of principle by assuring the socialist democrats finish the job (voting for marginal third party that take votes from those who DO have a chance of winning, or by not voting is not principled.)

Not voting for a Democrat or a Republican is not a sin. In many cases, it is a moral obligation.

I totally agree. I'm tired of holding my nose as I pull the lever. It's past time to realise that the Democrats AND Republicans are nothing more than self-serving, power-hungry crooks. It's time for a change.

Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing. I often believe that politicians are like cameleons, changing color when ever it suits them.

Nobody is forced, but everyone should have the right to eat in peace, smokers and non-smokers.

I am sorry, but I don't buy the load of crap that smoker's rights are more important than mine. No.

My solution would be allow smoking in all restaurants, but build a separate section.....a completely separate room with closed doors, for the smokers. That way you get to puff your life away and I get to enjoy some reasonably clean air.
