...The ONLY reason California's Governor GRAY DAVIS (D) is now pushing to only DOUBLE our yearly Department of Motor Vehicle Car/Truck Registrtion Fee's, and not TRIPLING them like he really wants too, in his current State Budget pending in the State Legislature...
...is the strong Candidacy of BILL SIMON (R) now running against him.
...Let's see now...
...if you are now paying a $350 Yearly Car/Truck Registration Fee, because of Gov. GRAY DAVIS (D) you will be paying $700 this year and over $1,000 the next.
...In your Voting for California Governor be sure to...
...FOLLOW YOUR MONEY...???
To: ALOHA RONNIE
You are right ... and it gets worse ... if Davis wins (God forbid!) we have to face major tax increases next year because his budget is smoke and mirrors ... it DOESN'T BALANCE!!!!! He's borrowing and moving money and postponing spending and a bunch of other accounting tricks. Arthur Andersen would be proud of him!!!!

I will never forget that day of March 19, 2001 sitting in that federal courtroom and watching James Riady getting a free ride. Feinstine, Woo and Davis should be criminally charged for aiding and abetting enemies of this type. In fact, they should also be wearing orange jumpsuits!
To: ElkGroveDan
I'll give him credit, he's standing up on his board, moving forward, but I don't see the wave. If his old man was a top notch surfer, he would never have bothered with such a tiny "wave".
To: Jeff Chandler
It depends upon when the picture was taken.
He's probably holding his balance as long as possible and riding the foam all the way in for the photographer. Like all waves, I'm sure it was bigger than that when it curled.

For all Simon supporters:
Received this from my friend Judy's husband Gerry. Thought I would share it with all.
David Horowitz has said that one of his goals in life is to teach conservatives bad manners - and we really
need to learn them. The problem with us Republicans is that we are scrupulously decent. We abhor scandal
in the ranks of the opposition as well as on our own side. As a result, whenever one of ours is tainted by
even the whiff of a second hand scandal, we throw them overboard. Democrats, on the other hand, tough it
out. If their guy gets caught taking illegal campaign contributions they brazenly stand up and say that we
need tougher campaign laws to get rid of all this corruption. When a Democrat gets caught - oh, let's just
pull up a hypothetical situation - getting serviced by an intern in the oval office and lying to a grand jury
about it - they all sing from the same hymn book about how nasty Republicans are for bringing it up
(bringing up the topic, not the...well, you know). On the other hand, a nominally Republican boor, like Bob
Packwood, is escorted to the nearest exit by Republicans and Democrats (who find sexual harassment by
anyone with an (R) next to their name, unforgiveable).
Democrats have no sense of decency so indecent behavior on the part of their candidates is a none issue.
No California Democrats are even considering dumping the most corrupt and incompetent governor in the
nation, a man who makes Huey Long look like George Washington, a man who makes drunken sailors look
like Ebenezer Scrooge, a man who never met a tax he didn't hike. But some lawsuit-lottery trial lawyer
convinces twelve people whose combined IQ is probably less than the boiling point of water, that a big-bad
company did wrong to his pathetic client, and that big-bad company had something to do with Bill Simon,
and all at once our guy has headlice? C'mon. We're all grown-ups here. Can we talk? In today's litigious
climate, if you become successful, you become a target. Someone is going to think that you done them
wrong and your money should be theirs (less 30% for the contingency fee trial-lawyer). And if enough of
these corporate ambulance-chasing parasites go after you, one is going to hit the lottery and come up with
the trifecta of pathetic client, convincing attorney, and idiot jury. If we write off every potential candidate who
has been successful enough to become a target for this kind of extortion, aren't we excluding our best and
brightest from a shot at making things better?
I'm not sure where I heard this phrase, bit it is a rule to live by - "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the
good". Is Bill Simon the perfect candidate? No. Neither is anybody else. Will he be a better Governor than
Grey Dufus? If your answer is no - than vote for Grey, join the Democrat Party and get ready to surrender
your paycheck to the state treasurer. If the answer is yes, then get out there, work for our guy, write some
checks and learn some bad manners.
I guess Gerry has said it all. Bill Simon for Governor!

I wonder if he skeet surfs?
