Gov. Gray Davis' TV ad claims that candidate Bill Simon charged excessive fees to his father's foundation.
TEXT: Bill Simon inherited a fortune, but on his own he's had losses, bankruptcies, lawsuits and even allegations of fraud. Now the Chronicle reports Simon siphoned excessive fees from his father's charitable foundation. One expert called it "really fishy." Another said, "I've never seen fees this high." The Chronicle said a substantial amount of money earmarked for charitable purposes ended up at Simon's private investment firm.

Well, you certainly wouldn't expect him to focus on his ...errr "accomplishments", would you?
At the risk of overstating the obvious, Democrats, particularly Davis, will not be deterred by the facts. The ads will most likely get worse as the election approaches and Simon's poll numbers remain strong. Davis will do (or say) anything out of desperation to malign Simon.
