So it's Day 30 now of the new fiscal year and still no state budget. But don't count me among the hand-wringers. As far as I'm concerned, the final day of this budget stalemate will be the first day of the next budget crisis. So what's the hurry?

I agree. In that spirit, the State Legislature should adjourn until a new Governor is elected in November. A new budget can be adopted then.

I agree. In that spirit, the State Legislature should adjourn until a new Governor is elected in November. A new budget can be adopted then. Sounds like a plan. We have many states that would benefit from substantial cuts in their budgets (not to mention the feds.) Let's get on with it.
