That is getting to be an old line, need to find some new material to justify your position.

Perhaps Your Smugness has mischaracterized my posts as trying to "justify" my position to you.

How terribly, terribly wrong you are. Your opinion would have to matter to me in order for me to justify it to you. A classic case of overreach.

I understand though the deafness of control freaks and chronic pecksniffs and have factored that in.

On the "Care-O-Meter, you're still registering a flat zero, but if it gives your life meaning, who am I to try to dissuade you?

I'm sure those popsicle-stick miniatures of the Eiffel Tower are probably getting boring by now, and I honestly don't blame you for looking for an alternative.

It seems from ALL your posts to me, you have my entire life figured out; who I deal with, where I travel....

z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z...OH SORRY, DID YOU SAY SOMETHING?

I was just watching this paint dry, and then I started thinking about RedBloodedAmerican's life and suddenly my eyelids became heavy, very, very heavy....

You may smoke all you wish out of sight and out of mind and out of smell. The MOMENT your smoking intrudes into the immediate vicinity of others, you are commiting an egregious act of impropriety, and continued insistence that you will do see is evidence that you lack the maturity needed to even be allowed out in public.

I do smoke out of the vicinity of all others except those who wish to be around. I do not inflict my second hand smoke on anyone who does not wish to smell or breathe it. I smoke strictly outdoors on my own private property or in my car. But out of sight? Out of mind? Would you care to explain that? I'm really not getting your drift.

the RESPONSIBILITIES of the citizen to maintain liberty

And maintaining Liberty means maintaining it for all. Even though the lead in your ammunition can be deadly, I will defend your right to use it responsibly. Even though your over indulgence in alcohol can be deadly to me, I will defend your right to consume it responsibly.

Liberty for thee and not for me is not Liberty at all.

Very good. I applaud you. And I hope one day you'll be able to kick this deadly habit, for your sake and that of your loved ones.

But out of sight? Out of mind? Would you care to explain that?

I simply mean that I don't want to be bothered by the smoke, and I don't want to have to worry that the only non-smoking areas are right at the "border" where the smoke's just as bad as if I were sitting right in the middle.

Sorry, I don't consider it "liberty" to make sure you can "drink responsibly" despite the danger of MY death or the death of someone I love.

I believe the repeal of prohibition was a mistake.

"Celebrities that get on a political bandwagon make me sick." - I would assume that Charleton Heston and Arnold (the Terminator guy) make you ill as well...right?"

Actually, that's a valid point...maybe I should clarify what I meant. Celebrities that get on the POLITICALLY CORRECT bandwagon make me sick. That's really what I mean. So Heston and Swartzenagger (sp?) are top shelf in my book.

Thanks for giving me a chance to clear that up.

Drink responsibly
Drive responsibly
Shoot responsibly
Speak responsibly

What else don't you trust you fellow citizens with?

And I'll use the health department. And I'll use FreeRepublic to mock the smokers who support freedom only for themselves...

It's quite entertaining when people have a nervous breakdown in print.

Najeh Davenport, on the dangers of alcohol abuse:

Not likely. Most people pick on OTHER people's bad habits.

That would be a rather crappy thing for him to do.

And he'll be seated in a closet on a laundry basket...

Anti-smokers like yourself all seem to think that any smoking is deadly. You are wrong about that. And I can't help but observe that your response was another opportunity to get your shot in.

I hope one day you'll be able to kick this potentially deadly habit of sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong. My smoking is my business as long as it doesn't impinge upon you. Leave it at that. Someday somebody will hurt or kill you for making it your business. It's the difference between being considerate (adult) and inconsiderate (childish). See my post #101.

There, there dear.

You just keep plugging away, your pluck will be rewarded someday, I'm sure.

I understand there are some openings in the Registry of Motor Vehicles. With a little effort (showing up), why you could rise to the top of the heap with your displayed talents.

Illbay also turns up a lot on threads flaming people who don't LOVE our Federal Government and all its apparatchiks.

Methinks the poor fellow is a deep, deep buried bureaucrat passing time waiting for his tax-payer funded pension. In the meantime, harassing whoever passes by seems to be his style.

. There is NOTHING that makes you less free than being addicted to something that will kill you.

Like, for example, being addicted to BATF or the FBI
