But the longer the Administration tarries in doing the job, the less credible the claim that it is all the fault of Clinton holdovers.

Tell us all EXACTLY how Bush goes about this; since you seem to be aware of some method that is not known to the rest of us for ridding the government of CAREER employees, do tell us how it's done.

No messing around now; post the EXACT procedure and laws/rules that allow Bush to fire ANYBODY he wants to from the administration.

This article is a disaster. What a mess. Ann better get her sheyatt together.

So putting private citizen Al Gore through a security screening at an airport ... as the law demands ... is a homage by Bush to the "Fetishistic Rituals of Liberalism". What the H is she babbling about? So it wasn't really Bush ... it wasn't really even Bush's Transportation Department ... it was a Security guard doing his job and following the law in an American airport. That was a pathetic and torturous link to the President. By the way, what is construed as any fetish or ritualism - identified with Liberals - associated with an airport security checkpoint that screens citizens for weapons betwen the ticket area and the gates? That's an unusual process, I've only been doing it since 1983 or so. It's contrived, alarming nonsense.

Second, Robert Mueller stated that the official policy of the FBI is to not racially profile any specific group of Americans. It is! OK .... so what? You don't think it's happening as a field prerogative out in the real world? By professional cops, some of the best in the world, determined to waylay Muslim mayhem and murder? Of course it is, is he going to say that to Feingold? Does Feingold know it's happening, and appreciate it? Yes on both counts.

The rest is about Feingold and bad jokes about Gore and .... what a Freeping disaster this thing was.

More manure on the FR heap.

Linda, we NEVER posted fraudulent crap about Buchanan or Keyes in 2000. We didn't need to, we SUPPORTED someone. The dishonesty on Free Republic is no longer alarming, no longer angering, it's like a bunch of Commie propagandists. Spouting nothing. What do these people get out of jumping on a wheeless bandwagon? They look like jackasses. They are jackasses.

The United States Constitution

Article II.

Section 1 The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years...he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Section 2

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices...He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

Section 3

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

He has the power, Howlin. The question is does he have the will. Oh, and he could start by replacing the heads of the FBI and the CIA.

Well, I don't know the exact procedure, Howlin...but I do know Slick didn't seem to have any problem unloading those 100 U.S. Attorneys. Refresh my memory, didn't he pull that on his first day on the job?
