Silly me and I thought the zoomers were only part of that action. Did you forget the US Navy who flew more sorties that the Air Force? Lets not forget the US Army including its armor units, SOF Units, the British RAF and SAS. Ask anyone who has ever called in a CAS Mission. Do they perfer the Navy or the Air Force?
Why is it that finding fault and placing blame are the two things that get the most response? The "blame-Bush crowd" on offense vs. the "Bush-bots" on defense. Didn't this forum have some actual intellectual content discussions once upon a time? IF you think Global Warming might happen, tell us WHY, and then discuss why it might get blamed on Bush (appropriately or not). Asserting someone else's potential thoughts on the matter is hardly proper debate material.
Rush Limbaugh always pooh-pooh'ed those who said his show would suffer without Clinton in the White house... maybe FR is the conservative outlet that can't handle the fact that we don't have a corrupt Democrat in office. I think it's healthy that we have the pro and con discussions about the president, especially since he is from the Right. Unfortunately, instead of keeping it constructive, topical, and substantive, we're deteriorating into something less... not quite the "only-one-opinion-allowed" type of board like DU, but certainly below FR's usual standards.
Be original and post your own thoughts. I'm not doing your research. If you have a point-make it. You and me. Show us what YOU know. Don't let others do all of your research.
So virtually every company large and small needs to reorganize its structures over time to meet new challanges but you maintain that in the case of government such principals of would not be applicable. Interesting. Why would proven management strategies that work for private organizations as well as state and local governments not work for the federal sector ?

No I think that that consolidating agencies is a waste of time and money. I think fixing the problem is directly related to intelligence gathering, especially human intelligence. I think stopping stove piping between the agencies will go much further than consolidating. I think revamping the way things are done within the agencies will goes much further than consolidating. We can act if we have the right analysis, the right intelligence. We do not need another NEW agency that will go no where real fast.
I think that if we revamped the Central Intelligence Agesncy who by law is suppose to be the central gathering point and fixing the FBI using common sense internally will solve more problems than creating a new agency of 170,000 employees.
Does that make you different from either me or President Bush?

This is a debate for another thread. But I will say the Army Air Corp did pretty dang well during WWII! But when politics enters the military anything can happen, including the USAF.
I would assume your view has been given a lot of thought by "Bush's handlers" and was rejected. I would further sssume such questions will be raised by congress.
But I still don't get the part where we out everything under the military.
