If we do everything the Kyoto treaty calls for, it would not lower the average temperature in the world by half a degree over the next 50 years. But it could wreck some economies.

Well now, isn't that special -- trashing economies based on junk science deceptively put forth as valid science.

I suspect it's people, not economies, they'd just as soon trash. I don't see any of the fixes as yet proposed which did not exempt certain nations or allow companies with sufficient clout an extra credit end run 'round the New World Rules.

Thanks to President Bush's poor understanding of the science -- as opposed to the politics -- of stem cells, we've already started by using the "Excess" ones for hopeful "humanitarian" research.
