The image is titled "wtcsplat.jpg." You get the idea. Other video clips on the Internet show a series of people leaping to their deaths from the burning World Trade Center -- to background music of "Free Falling" by Tom Petty.

From your Post#10:

Actually, I just found them. They've been renamed and hidden.

In the DEC2001 archives? Is that the site? And why the stealth and secrecy?

The funny thing is, if it was removed from the main page to pacify the press, they (the press) are REALLY STUPID. I found them in 6 clicks, that includes the ones to copy and paste just from the info up to Post#10!

Yep! That's the one. They are still in the archives but have been removed from the WTC section.

I had previously found them in the WTC section. I never did check the archives.

I think he took them out of the WTC section after complaints. I also noticed he removed the "Free Falling" Tom Petty/jumpers mpg (which was extremely tasteless).

The WTC section was there when I went there.(?)

I didn't download the vid clips, I had too much already running, but noticed there was one that had a Slipknot 'soundtrack' labled (better music, but I'm sure just as tasteless in this situation).

On September 11, the spanish news broadcasts were showing the jumpers live; not everyone's taste and i could not understand the voiceover (didn't need to anyway).
Agree with you, i don't think these types of pictures should be hidden. It's a question of choosing to view or not. The whole culture now seems bent on sugarcoating and forgetting. I don't want to and i do not think we as a country should either.

The gruesome photos are good only to rile up and manipulate an already pissed off (and perhaps cynical) populace who for the most part can do absolutely nothing to change what has already transpired, so let's not cry over spilled milk (or blood) but instead let us go after the culprits (or the system?) that caused/allowed this carnage to happen in the first place. Locking the flight-cabin doors of our aircraft is a great idea, so is locking the barn door after the horse has already escaped. Why wasn't somebody tending the goddamned horse in the first place? What, doesn't anybody love horses anymore??? I'm pissed, I’m outraged…. but offended too!! Stupidity, carelessness and arrogance always goeth before fall, methinks.

If the images from the holocaust had not been broadcast, if the pictures of mass graves, bodies piled on top of bodies, ovens filled with burned bones and the pictures of people who managed to live through it had not been release, would the world have realized just how brutal the Nazi's really were?

Censoring the pictures from the WTC attacks does nothing but allow the public to go their merry way feeling sorry for every little person in the world who screams about some violation to them and using terror to "correct" it. Too bad, it's reality, it happened and it's not pretty. Personally, I think they should have been shown, in all their graphic detail every day since 9-11 simply so people will not forget.

They haven't been shown and we are starting to forget.

That's was so damn aggravating! It hasn't been a year yet and the only thing that has changed is that we've lost more civil liberties. Political Correctness is settling back into fashion, the Lefties are still crying about poor Arabs. Soon, gun control will be in vogue again (if not already).

Americans seem to be good at burying their heads in the sand.

I agree people are already forgetting. Oh, they will remember on 9-11-2002 when television stations try to boast ratings (and advertiser dollars) for their 9-11 specials. People will once again fly a flag from their house or car, wear a flag t-shirt and some will cry crocodile tears over the year anniversary. A week later, all will be forgotten again. I'm not one to blame America for what happened on 9-11, but I do place the blame on why the entire world allows terrorists to continue - humans have short memories.

FReepmail me for info if you are curious.

I noticed that when FReepmailed, the links got all screwed up. Reluctantly, I'm going to post them here. Why? Because we're not babies. If you want to see them, copy and paste the links. If not, please move on. But it is my opinion that these should be available for those who wish to view them.

Some of these are extremely gruesome. You've been warned.

You did the right thing. I live about 50 miles from Ground Zero, and I sometimes get the feeling that folks in the hinterlands only realize the carnage and devastation of 9/11 from what they read and what they see on TV.

It's not quite as personalized.

This "war" won't be over until all of the filthy savages who both planned and support this atrocity, anywhere on the globe, die a painful death.

Some say 1 billion people on Earth thought it was a "good thing". Really? Too bad.

Yeah, they chickened out. Mainstream journalists aren't hot on linking. They think they're the ones who should be generating content, not your random netizen!

Here is the site (click the image to go there):

He has quite a lot of gross stuff posted there. Little of it is related to the WTC attack. I think he's trying to compete with rotten.com and the stileproject. For a sampling, copy this into your Address box and press enter (but don't say you were not warned):

That was a really good post! (I'm still digesting it, so I'm still speechless.... you understand, I'm sure!)

I concur with your feelings towards "the Management" (where is/was the accountaBillity??) And don't forget that "the management" was (and still is) paid for with your and my tax dollars. Do you ever feel that you would like to get a refund due to services NOT rendered?

I tried to get ahold of them to see about a refund. Didn't get too far. The best I could tell is that their number for those sorts of things is.... wait, wait, I've got it right here.... it's "1-800-HaHaHaHaHa!"

(I think Carrot Top does commercials for them, you might catch him on TV. Assuming you haven't shot yours already.)

Hey, did you ever watch "Fight Club" (the movie)?
If you did (and we all know how painful that can be),
perhaps you remember these quotes from Tyler Durden,
played by Brad Pitt:

Our generation has had no Great Depression, no Great War. Our war is a spiritual war. Our depression is our lives.

You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your f##king khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.

We were raised on television to believe that we'd all be millionares, movie gods, rock stars, but we won't. And we're starting to figure that out.

Watch "Fight Club" if you haven't seen it. That movie made me THINK! Something to ponder, anyway...

I still enjoy rotten.com though I wish they'd update more frequently (something Ogrish does). I used to enjoy stileproject but he's pretty much turned into a porn site --and not a very good one at that.

Somebody posted this pics originally on FREEREPUBLIC. I remember the person who took these gave a huge anecdote all about them. It's someone who lives right down the street from the WTC site. There were many pics of right before the tower collapsed and then pics from a ferry evacuating to New Jersey.
