You guys have to check this out!
It was reported in the news this morning that Governor Gray Davis has featured a section of his website towards depicting California's Republican nominee for Governor as a right-wing extremist.
Gray Davis is out to lunch and out-of-touch with people of California... check it out!

Personally I think it helps Simon to have Davis attack him for this kind of stuff. A lot of people will end up agreeing with Simon!

sooooooooooo, is it true??? A Director's cut DVD in November????? AUGH! I can't wait!!! My daughter is anxiously awaiting the DVD so she can see it. I'm reading the book to her and she's completely enthralled by it.
GO SIMON!!!! (getting on topic)
I have to agree with what a poster above stated. The people in my office are so gun-shy of Republicans because of Wilson. They agree that Davis is worthless, but in their minds, he's the lesser of two evils. sigh...

the only thing they want less is another Republican as governor, visions of Wilson are still dancing in everyone's head. I think he lost Cal. for the Rublicans for a long time. For me, it wasn't Wilson's stand on the issues that made me mad. It was his promise during the debate with Kathleen Connell that he would complete his term as governor, and then one month after being re-elected he announced his candidacy for president -- in New York!

Sorry to hear you work with brain-dead baboons! And
what about Wilson? I didn't like him much, but he kept the budget semi-sane. What's to say FOR Davis? Blows the energy issue, blows the budget, walks around in full Depends over the last crisis he dodged or mismanaged... good grief!
Bet Davis doesn't even get LOTR!

Let's see, Simon won the 'primary' big, and Davis' 18 point lead before the primary has shrunk to 14. Davis losing 8 points from 51 to 43 and Simon losing 4 points from 33 to 29. The 'undecided' going from 16 to 28. SHADY Gray's 'lights' are getting dimmer, IMHO.good find!
Dump Davis!

Bill Simon looks amazingly like Magic Johnson.

LOL...I work for the state! I'm not even going there! Right this moment I'm waiting for Dreamweaver MX to download (all 63mg...so I gotta FReep! </grin>
I lived out of state during most of Wilson's time in office, so I can't speak to most of those arguments. Sigh...I'm soooo tired of libs!!!
Hey, Dan, is it December YET??? ;-)

Anyone notice that there's nothing about Davis' NOR Simon's view on IMMIGRATION???
Bwahahahahah, why is THAT Red Davis??? LOL...anywho, it looks like Davis is scared of Simon and that the polls must be showing that Simon is GAINING...but I dunno...anyone have any of the latest polls??

If you click on "Learn more" at the website, it says:
"Against government protecting human rights of gays and lesbians, opposes laws protecting them from discrimination or harassment"
If you then click on "Read More", it says:
Though Simon was largely successful in avoiding discussing social issues Wednesday, he did say - in response to a question - that he would have vetoed the landmark gay rights bill that Davis signed last year. "I dont think its appropriate for the government to enter into legislation that has to do with sexual orientation," he said. [Los Angeles Times, March 7, 2002]
Simon would have vetoed AB 25, which grants couples registered as domestic partners benefits, including right to adopt partners child and right to make medical decisions for partners saying "I don't think it's appropriate for the government to enter into legislation that has to do with sexual orientation. [Los Angeles Times, March 7, 2002]
In a campaign press release Simon said, The state should not be in the business of trying to classify people or confer rights based on sexual orientation. [Release, January 14, 2002]
Kind of misleading I'd say.

Anyone else get the feeling that Davis' website was designed to appeal specifically to a 'casually-concerned' mentality?
'Simon Says' is the only adult & intelligent part of the place!

Some website. It makes Simon sound like a regular straight shooter. Though I have a hard time imagining hordes of undecided voters checking out websites to investigate their choices. But what do I know.
So what's with the big picture of Magic Johnson's happy face? Does this have something to do with Gray's decision to support reparations for slavery?
To: d14truth
The way to do this is have Simon work with his Lt.Governor nominee and run together as a ticket. McPhherson is a RINO. But he'd help Simon get some credablity from the left and the center wings of the Republican Party. Hey at least Simon will be able to leave California without any fear of any mischief.

Bruce McPherson for Lieutenant Governor"Bruce is a fourth generation Santa Cruz native. He and his wife Mary have been married 34 years. Their daughter, Tori, and her husband, Dave, have one child, Sydney. Sadly, the McPherson's son, Hunter, was murdered in an armed robbery late last year."

I see where Gov Gray, on his website, has taken a keen interest in what
'SIMON SAYS'. 'Glad to know that 'young man' is starting to pay attention.'

I think I did this in an earlier thread:
Davis fights the power companies ... and loses.
(Note the position of the cord - it doesn't look scared of ol' Grey, does it?)

Simon is SO COOL, he doesn't have to SWEAT Davis.
Davis is so busy digging for dirt, he's going to find himself in a deep hole in November-- and wonder how he got there.
