The California governors race will test one hugely important dilemma in American politics: is there true freedom of speech on any topic in the political dialogue? If there is, Gray Davis has no chance to defeat challenger Bill Simon. If there is not, which is exactly what the Marxian liberal writers plying their "trade" in papers like the LA Times and the San Francisco Chronicle would like to enforce, then its an even shot. And why is this? Because there is one lobby the liberal media will defend and rationalize to the death: the gay and homosexual agenda that seeks to suppress and subjugate any opposition to its advance, while immersing itself into the California K-12 school system by intimidation and threat of reprisal.
Even bringing the subject up forces the iconoclast to be prepared to defend himself with articulate, substantive, and reasoned argumentation. Its a level of rhetorical sophistication that most people do not possess, have the time for, nor want to engage in. Even if one wanted to educate themselves about the incontrovertible intentions of Gray Davis and organizations like the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), or the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), they would have to validate their research on the Internet, because a complete and absolute media lockout on disclosure is in force. You dont think so? Try finding an article on GLSEN and GLAAD in the archives of either of these useless newspapers. And the liberals have been capitalizing on this condition for years, going largely unchallenged.
According to columnist Don Feder in "Californians and Dr. Laura defend morality," Feder said, "by portraying homosexuals as a persecuted minority, the gay-rights movement has succeeded in manipulating elites -- politicians, media and the judiciary. Hers [Dr. Laura] is not the only countercultural voice being raised. Increasingly, people without political offices or media forums are speaking out in defense of their families, faith and morality."
According to the GLAAD website, heres what Davis had to say about three bills protecting lesbians and gay men. "These three bills will send a message across this country and around the world that we are determined to unleash the full potential of the human spirit here in California. They will help us to beat back the forces of hatred and discrimination that strike at the very heart of what it means to be a Californian."
Beat back the forces of hatred? Does he mean average people who possess Judeo-Christian values? People who have a moral conscience about what and when their children will be exposed to homosexuality are hateful? Is that what you mean Gray? If this is at the heart of what it means to be a Californian, then Davis would be advised to shut down Internet access to startling information about his true agenda, because once the common sense voter becomes aware of what this "moderate" governor is doing, hell be out of a job.
But that may be wishful thinking. Most California voters are either in a coma, or are too fearful of raising an issue about this subject for fear, true fear of being called a bigot, homophobe or extremist. Be sure than any California teacher who raises an objection to these policies places his or her career in extreme peril. This is how the liberal strategy works, so once you get past that, you are enlightened, and perhaps empowered. But how many people are willing to obtain and use this wisdom? Sadly, very few.
You want a whiff of the type of "public forum" the Times and the Chronicle have already provided for Davis campaign manager, Prince of Darkness, Gary South? "I guarantee you, by the time we're done with this guy, there are going to be a lot of people who don't like Bill Simon," South says. "It doesn't matter what a nice smile he has, or what a nice wife or how many sisters he has. That does not tell the voters where he stands on the issues. . . . Bill Simon is an unelectable extremist." Im not quite sure Ive ever seen the combination "unelectable extremist" used in such a perverted context, but dont expect any different from these delightful rags.
According to syndicated talk show host Hugh Hewitt, "Davis won't make it easy for Bill Simon. The Stepford Governor is nothing except unprincipled and ambitious, and there is nothing he won't do or say to win. Davis is one-third of a Cerberean campaign, the other two heads of which are Gary South and Bob Mulholland. South and Mulholland are never invited to polite gatherings, but they make Murray Chotiner look like Barney. Expect dirty tricks."
Traditional Values Coalition Research Director Beverly Sheldon, who fought against these bills, said, "These bills will mandate that California schools teach the appreciation of homosexuality, bi-sexuality, and even transgender, cross dressing, etc. This will go in California textbooks and classroom curriculum. Students and teachers of deep religious conviction who are opposed to the homosexual lifestyle could be considered guilty of promoting hate in the classroom if they merely express their objection to the lifestyle."
It will be up to the California voter to get past the standard, on-the-table issues such as power contracts, clean water, clean air, educational funding, transportation, etc. We know immigration and the extraordinary costs educating and providing medical services for indigent illegal immigrants is verboten, thats a given.
The one critical issue that will sink Gray Davis like a lead balloon is his advocacy of the gay and homosexual agenda. He has made a conscious decision to promote this cause above all others. He has placed academic excellence well behind his goose-step for tolerance, diversity, and alternative lifestyles in the classroom. And lets be clear on where the reasonable person stands, just to demonstrate genuine tolerance. Nobody is against the freedom of another person to be a homosexual. What we are against is the intolerant left and their self-proclaimed right to compel you to "share" their beliefs. Davis has in effect taken away your freedom to dissent, while making you feel good about it (or not being aware that it has even occurred). Pretty slick huh?
After Simon won the primary, this is what Times and Chronicle favorite son Gray Davis had to say: "Bill Simon is a true-blue think-tank conservative. I am a practical problem-solver. I believe many of his ideas are out of step and out of touch with most Californians. We need to keep moving California forward. Not backward--and certainly not to the right." Really? Well see.
He certainly solved that irritable problem of the people having too much energy and electricity.
I agree. You could have a conservative who gave you a one-ounce gold coin for a vote for him or her, and the liberal will still win. Kalifornistan is another country.
Most California voters appear to be either dead or illegal aliens. Anyway, most of them seem to vote for Dems no matter what.

I can hear all the liberal Hollywarped types rationalizing their stupid votes for this shyster even now............
What more can you expect from this wonderful and caring man. He has given his entire life to being a poor and underpaid Rat Polician fighting the evil conservatives.
Davis and his union cronies will do ANYTHING legal or ILLEGAL to win. Simon has to watch not only his back, but every side. The Democrats play dirty and they play to win.
However, with that being said, Davis has multiple problems from many sides and it's going to take a lot of smoke and mirrors to get people to vote for him.
Go Simon!
Don't forget the slave reparations!
Let's just keep the info and promotion of Bill Simon constantly on the internet, like here at FR. After all, he won the primary because of it (us). He can win again. He needs to turn into a Ronald Reagan right now. Never, never give up. Keep up the momentum. My "Dump Davis" bumper sticker has only elicited no comments, or positive comments so far here in Fresno. So let's keep the faith. "Go Simon!" is right!
