Bush is more interested in staying in office than in using the office to do what is right. Where have we seen this before? Talk about upside down worlds, look at who is opposing this!
Previous posted but thread pulled. I hope it was pulled because of copyright problems and not censorship to suppress opposition to Bush.
It would seem to me that people who have paid to express their opinions on this site should not be censored. While Jim Rob supported and owned the site, he had every right to impose his own standards. Since the goal is to be self supporting, things should change. Have they?

I'm sure it was pulled because of the copyright thing. As for Bush's "keeping families together" idea, he should really read Florence King's online Misanthrope's Corner remarks (from National Review) on that kind of thinking.

Here it is:
The most deadly aspect of huddle-and-cuddle is now staring us in the face. Our immigration policy favors family reunification over all other considerations, including national security. Once an immigrant gets in, we let him send for his family members, a policy that favors the very ethnic groups we should be leery of, but neurotic sentiment mitigates against leeriness. Show us a slew of Third World relatives Eldest Brother, Venerable Aunt, Honorable Uncle, and two dozen fifth cousins all named Mohammed and we will show you a visa, because an "extended family" is even more sacrosanct than the immediate kind.

President Bush on Tuesday urged the Senate to act quickly to allow thousands of foreigners to seek legal residence even though they are in the United States illegally, saying such action would demonstrate America's compassion. Please tell me, Mr. Bush, how running roughshod over the rule of law demonstrates America's compassion. Tell me how turning a blind eye to blatant law breaking demonstrates strong, principled leadership.
About all your amnesty agenda demonstrates is your lack of a philosophical rudder.

You've been around here long enough to know why the article was pulled.
Important Legal Notice:
Free Republic has been enjoined from allowing users to post full text articles from the Los Angeles Times (LAT) and Washington Post (WP). And besides this is a private website owned by Jim Robinson and run according to his ground rules. Again, you should know better. JimRob doesn't censor articles for political opinion. You step over the bounds of decency and enter into trash talk garbage, you will find your posting will be pulled. That simple!

The RATS didn't seem to mind when Clinton/Gore rammed nearly a million new citizens through the process. Could Bush suppose that by merely telling Congress what he wants, he'll end up getting just that by their denial?

senator_byrd@byrd.senate.gov Let the courageous albeit super annuated patriot know that we stand behind him. What a shame that such a relative handful of white men are willing to stand up for everything that our ancestors all the way back to Greece, Rome, and the entire Judeo-Christian civilization have bequeathed to us. This is a turning point in history and it doesn't look good for the previous home team. The tin pot dictators to our south are now threatening us to keep our borders open or else!
