OK, I'm going to be a party pooper here folks. The bad news is this: I'm not only hopeful that Simon will win, I'm certain of it. The big problem is that Simon will feel some sort of obligation to make Californistan a better place and try to clean up the mess Davis has made of the state. Frankly, it may be easier to cede Californistan to Mexico.
Maybe we could swap it for Cancun?
OK, I'm joking mostly about the trade, but Davis has some 6 months of campaigning in which he'll do his best to hide and obscure problems so they don't become an issue during the election. He'll devote by far, more resources to deception than actual productive action (his MOO) leaving Californistan so far in the dumps that it may be impossible to dig it out in a single term.
Guess who the media will blame?
