It isnt so much that "bad-boys" are more attractive, but what usually comes with the badness, is toughness, courage and confidence (and money); things we really like.

Maybe you have a different defination of a bad boy(I use the term bully) than I do. But every so called bad boy I have met is nothing but talk. The last one I met(who was bigger than me) was still running toward the other side of East Lansing. Some courage and toughness. Even the liquid courage didn't work for him.

On a seperate problem....why does it seem that every lady I attract is married(which happened last couple of times I was at the bar)??? That's not a good thing(and I don't get involved with married women).

That reminds me of Patrick Henry's speech when he spoke of the battle going not to the strong, but to the vigilant, the active, and the brave. I caught the last acronym but the first two UDT-14, BUD/S I'm unfamiliar with. The second is basic traning of some sort?

BUD/S Basic Underwater Demolition/Seal - This is the training program that all members of underwater demolition and seal teams undergo. UDT-14 is Underwater Demolition Team 14 (It was redesignated as SEAL TEAM 5). The UDT teams were the foundation of the Navy Seal TEAMS. All members of Seal Teams went through BUD/S and some individuals were assigned at different times to both Seal and UDT units.

The person I was reffering to I served with in UDT fourteen.

BUD/S is the training to be a member of the Teams. Hell week is one of the more unpleasent things that must be endured. The young gentlemen in ROTC may get the chance to try making it through BUD/S when they are fully in the armed forces. It used to be any member of the armed forces from any branch could volunteer to be Seal. I believe it is still that way. It is not primarily a physical challenge. The physical part almost anyone can accomplish the primary challenge is to stick it out (some say to be too dumb and stubborn to ring the bell). If you make it through BUD/S that knowledge can help you endure many other things.

Now I do not know if ROTC members (not graduates but students can go through BUD/S at present). It used to be only active duty personnel could go through the course but I have heard through the newletter about a Seal explorer scout program but since I am not near the San diego area I have not paid a great deal of attention to it.

Yeah, I have an older sister. She's happily married though to her 2nd hubby.
I really didn't like the first scumbag she married.
My new brother-in-law is great.

Well a large number try but inly a few make it. There have been BUD/S classes where no one graduated. If Hell week had lasted ten seconds longer I would have dragged my aching carcass out of the mud and rung the bell. There is no shame or disgrace in deciding that one did not want to finish BUD/S when actually there.

Why should I divorce my husband for half of his money, when I can stay married and have most of it? Ha!

Ha indeed! Too true! I totaled my expenditures up the other day, and discovered that I spend about 7% of my income myself. The rest, well who knows what she does with it after the bills are paid...

Uh, yeah, there's one here. I'd pass up a conniving, manipulative millionaire. In fact, I already have.

My truck is a 3/4 ton 1980 Dodge pickup, 318 V8 engine. Has 90,000 original miles.
Less miles than most two year old cars at used car lots. It does not sputter, only grumbles in the morning before it gets its morning coffee.
It's not fuel injected, has no A/C or radio. Cost me $2500 six years ago when it had 32000 miles on it.
The entire truck is rust protected. Only rust is where the paint was scratched off.
Tag, license and insurance is cheap.
I can out race most new cars and trucks from 0 to 40 at a stoplight.
Above 45 though they will usually catch up but I will have had 3 car length head start on them and already reached the speed limit (they only pass me when their speeding).
Spare parts are "inexpensive" and it's easy to maintain.
If a part brakes or wears out and I can fix it, I will go and buy the best part from NAPA to do it.
I am frugal, not cheap.
I will shop around for quality and save to get it.
I don't buy a lot of fancy stuff just to have it and impress others.
I only buy things if I need them, not if I want them.
I know the differences between "needs" and "wants".
I usually won't buy something unless I have the cash to pay for it, and I can put it to two good uses. Otherwise it turns into a frivilous purchase.
I don't "want" a new car as mine gets me around just fine, so don't be diss'n my ride!

I prefer to be debt free and not a slave to a banker paying off a car loan. (Not that I couldn't pay $30,000 cash for a new car if I wanted one.)

Oh im sure I'd think about it more if I didn't go to an engineering school. But I don't thinks its a good thing to always be as horny as Bill Clinton on spanish fly( which I was in high school). Kinda distracting.

Suddenly, I worry about "Heather". :^)

Yes ---Heather is in trouble when it comes to choosing a mate. She won't have had an example on how men should be ---dads are important for that.
