Your points are well-taken and your questions are fair. However, I believe that the complete socialist takeover, of which you speak, is in-progress and on schedule. Freedom is already lost, however, the illusion of freedom remains for many. Anyone or any entity who actually posed a legitimate threat to our 2-headed-one-party power monopoly would become "dog food" in a nano-second.

Yup since both parties simply the two heads of the same beast, voting for either is a mistake. W is selling us and the constitution out just as did Clinton. I see very little diference between the policies of the two. Compared to the policies of say Jefferson, Clinton and Bush are twins.

This cynical, self-defeating, nihilistic mindset is the greatest legacy of the liberals for their last 40 years of effort.

It is an even bigger legacy than the nanny state, political correctness etc...
