I guess in the Guardian's view, this is bad.

I would bet that they don't like my suggestion to transfer them naked to an outdoor kennel in Antarctica at all.

The Hon. Henry Waxman, when asked to comment on these allegations, replied, "So what?"

If this is true, the chances of 'winning' the war just got a lot better.

Good news. If they are willing to do this, and talk about nukes...then assasination is a viable military-option again. Things are indeed progressing well.

I'll think about getting upset after we know that al qaida is gone.

Damn good idea!

Perhaps we should send members of the ACLU (and DNC) to those countries so they can lodge a complaint, eh?

US forces also seized five Algerians and a Yemeni in Bosnia on January 19 and flew them to Guantanamo Bay after the men were released by the Bosnian supreme court for lack of evidence, and despite an injunction from the Bosnian human rights chamber that four of them be allowed to remain in the country pending further proceedings.

thats curious. we detain people in bosnia?

We're not supposed to take to Gitmo, and we're not supposed to send 'em home - I guess we're supposed to buy each of them a nice little split-level in the burbs and pay their way through a vo-tech course.

But I have a better idea - let's send them to London with cab fare to the offices of the Guardian! We can tell them that the Guardian will surely take them in! They are Good and Sophisticated and Not Simplistic At All!

It is very, very, very encouraging to hear good news like this, to hear instances of common sense by the USA.

The US has been secretly sending prisoners suspected of al-Quaida connections to countries where torture during interrogation is legal.

Secretely, huh...then how does this author know that any of these events occurred? There is an awful lot of unvarifiable information given here and maybe his imagination stepped in in his effort to make the US look bad.

But, hey -- I'm willing to accept it at face value, and just hope that it is true!!

I'd be happy if I heard these guys had hangnails. Torture is a wonderful level or two past that.

The Guardian COULD criticize the countries that carry out torture, but prefers to criticize the US for working with them and cooperating, instead of unilaterally demanding they change their policing practices.
