i've told my state legislators that I favor a policy of no driver's license for anyone unable to show a valid visa. They won't even go so far as that here in Virginia.

For a man who never fails to wrap himself in the constitution, its certainly interesting to see you try and get your state legislation to blatently violate it. Immigration matters lie exclusively with the federal government. Its in the constition. Read it.

Not until the 14th amendment was enacted without ratification has anything other than establishing a uniform rule for naturalization been the business of the feds in the area of immigration. Also, states reserve the power to determine who is eligible for state licenses. Show me in the Constitution where any such power is relinquished by the states.

State driver's licensing requirements have diddly to do with immigration. Don't embarass yourself by trying to pretend you have even a nodding acquaintance with the US Constitution.

For an avogado, you're awfully uninformed. Of course, you're what passes for a lawyer in Mexico, aren't you? You're not an American and never could be. Bugger off and go play with your fellow communists.

Where is it written in the Constitution that we have to give drivers' licenses to ILLEGAL aliens? Wait a minute; perhaps a definition of "ILLEGAL" is in order.

Illegal: prohibited by law.

Now since our laws are based in the Constitution and by the very definition of "illegal", these people are not even supposed to BE here, tell me again how it is a violation of the Constitution to deny them LEGAL drivers' licenses.
