Slumming it were you? This is a racially mixed family, the african American family of my grandson are educated and very religous, they admit their is "racism" among the young blacks and this has got to be addressed. I think I will take their word before that of white teachers that "think" they know better. Your work is noble but don't decieve yourself by your few successes. (No offence intended)

Education is the key to better ralations, but you seem to be stuck on the idea that there is no such thing as Black Racists, and this is where you are dead wrong. I know for a fact that white people are chosen for attacks because they are white.

No race should be steriotyped, this is wrong, but if you have never lived (survived) in the neighborhoods of uneducated black teens and young adults, "I mean among them", not in the suburbs and just visit, you know diddly (no pun intended) about the black racist mind.

If this is not shown for what it is and dealt with, it will never stop. If a black attacker of only whites is not shown for the racist he is, he will "walk" because of sympathy for his race, and this is where our sympathy "ends".

For every one success you have, there will be ten undone by the Al Sharpton's of this world, if they (black leaders) are not dealt with, this cycle of hate will never stop. The children listen to these two-bit shysters and follow their lead. (These are the words of our grandsons father, a young black graduate, "masters" student.)

Are you a Democrat? Because you seem to use their debate tactics. I disagree with one of your assertions, and you then twist my words and claim that I think that their is no such thing as Black racists. Go reread my first posts in this thread, you'll find your characterization of me to be disproven. It is not an either/or argument, but you keep shaping it that way. Nice try with the 'white man's burden' label, but again, your assumptions are wrong. But I've only lived and worked there, and don't have black blood, so I guess I can't understand 'the hood' and 'the brothers'. Same arguments I hear from the Black left when they are losing a debate.
