"We've got a spirit of amistad," Bush told 200 Hispanic business leaders at the White House, using the Spanish word for friendship.

I've read a dozen possible reasons why Bush wants to merge with Mexico We're merging with Mexico, is that right Big Meanie? That's George Bush's master plan here? An accounting and operational consolidation? And there are ... 12 reasons ... you've "read" why Bush is possibly wanting this?
That's why we come to Free Republic. For the scoops and insightful analyses.
You're the real deal Big Meanie. FR gold. A merger with Mexico .... damn, it was right there in front of me all the time!

On the other hand, if Americans started insisting that they have as much right to break laws as the Mexicans, they might start paying attention to us. I seriously doubt it. You and I will go to jail but the Mexicans will get a pass.
There is one set of rules for them and another for us. We get the the brown end of the stick.

Ditto. I NEARLY wrote in Alan Keyes, but settled on Bush because I was afraid Gore would win. I should have followed my original instinct and stuck to my principles. I will next time, regardless of the consequences. If the country has to swallow bitter medicine in order to arouse the people; so be it. Well if immigration is your one issue, looks like you are in for a disappointment with Keyes.
Keyes Advocates Continued Policy of Open-Borders Immigration Even After 9-11

"As I have said a couple of times before. I honestly believe that there are some strong currents running here that we don't see or understand. In your opinion what might some of them be? Maybe plans for a glorious North American union as an example?

Yeah. That's it. The only gang that isn't in on the secret is us.
Wonder how much the CongressThugs are getting paid? Whatever they know, it's got to involve them getting money.

Speaking of losers, did anyone watch Ziglar on C-SPAN 2 yesterday? No, what were the crux of his statements?

Actually, abortion is 'my one issue', but thank you for the link.

What happens is that 40,000 white Americans leave California per year. They are replaced by an even larger number of Hispanics/Asains.
Housing prices are expensive in the L.A. area for many reasons. Many rich peolpe live. L.A. is the 2nd largest city in Ameica, so there will be heavy demand for housing. As an area in the L.A./South Bay vicinity deteriorates (ex. Lawndale) people leave the area and try to buy a house in a better area. This drives up the prices as there are more potential buyers than sellers in the good areas. L.A. is the center of the entertainment industry and South Bay is the home of the areospace industry. Both these industries have hundreds of thousands of high-paying jobs, which further drives up the housing market.

Hmmmm....who else is running in 2004?
Constitutionalist party is probably who I will vote for in 2004. I already am in 2002 here in Arizona because of McCain. I have quickly discovered that holding your nose and vote for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.
