Though it would cut down on the Never-Never-Land fun, maybe BadJoe should change the form to make it clear that a state name must be entered in the comment box to have it count for your state (or add another box with state Zip-code names).

As long as we have an official start and end time, all I have to do is keep track of how much each state contributes. I'll do that. When do we want to start. We are approaching 40k, and soon the monthlies will be added in. I'm guessing we should start soon.

My suggestion is that from now until tomorrow evening we start making a big deal of the state race and then have a pregame period and then start the race tomorrow at 6:00pm central and end it at 10:00pm central.

I'll see if I can find some of 2nd's old stuff. Also, we should post the news of the coming race early in each new thread. Stuff like that.
