It says the left is utterly exhausted as a political ideology. They are bankrupt. Their only means to success are fear mongering, lies, and keeping the populace sufficiently ignorant to assure they can be manipulated.Unfortunately they are succeeding if you consider that fully half of the voters in this country are content with excessive government, diminishing freedoms, and the right to be irresponsible.
It seems to me that those who are left/dem are almost cult like in their devotion to "progressive" doctrine much like followers of a false religion. The right isn't immune to a cult like following to idealology but not nearly to the same scale.
This is exactly what politics is to the left: a religion. Is it any wonder that so many on the left despise true religion? Christianity, or othodox Judaism stand in opposition to the religion of the left, which is a faith in statism.
