An Eagle Scout who was mistaken for a bank robber and shot in the face by an FBI agent in Pasadena on Friday remained in serious but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center last night.
Joseph Charles Schultz, 20, was shot at close range about 6 p.m. Friday when FBI agents searching for a bank robbery suspect pulled over his girlfriend's car.
Schultz, who lives in the 7900 block of Seabreeze Drive in Orchard Beach in Anne Arundel County and works with fiber optics for a local medical company, has no connection to the bank robbery, officials said.

Many local police forces have developed ninja mentalities, and the Federal police agencies have shown that they consider themselves above the law. Many people have eyes to see what has happened in this country. Others do not have that sight.
and I'm one of those who paint with a VERY broad brush... for example, when I see any law enforcement officer (ANY) intentionally disrespect or refuse to follow ANY law, I question whether we have bestowed the responsibility for enforcement on the right person. Set the big stuff aside and think for a moment what it looks like to be traveling exactly the speed limit on the freeway and regularly have state patrol cars pull out and pass me travelling at least 20 mph more than myself.
I know we're talking about serious situations with a shooting of what was apparently the wrong person here, but I bring it back to basics. If a man (or woman) does not hold the utmost respect for EVERY law on the books then that individual has no right to be attempting to enforce ANY law on the books. I know this is a very broad brush but it's how I believe.
Further, I personally believe that a very high percentage of law enforcement officers from every level, local, state and federal fall into this category.
Somewhere along the way nearly all of them developed the belief that they are above the law. This is a very sad situation and there is no making excuses for a federal agent shooting an unarmed kid. Accidental or otherwise, this man should be punished the same as a civilian would be under the same circumstances.
Contrary to the beliefs of many cops and agents on the job, You are NOT special and you deserve no special treatment If you don't like that attitude then get out of the business.
Nice try. Many of us "Amercia Haters" were on this forum loving America long before your statist self showed up and declared us un-American because we haven't sewn our lips to the current president's ass as you have.
America hater? That's quite a charge. I fought a war while you were probably sitting at home picking your f**king a-hole while making insulting comments at people that disagree with you.
Bite me scrub-boy.
Whatever Don, no one is stopping you from posting your, IMHO, hyperbolic comments.
The presence of a large number of criminals in a nation doesn't make it a police state. It just makes it a country with a lot of criminals.
And no one is censoring yours. We still have the first amendment, at least some of it is left. That doesn't mean the noose is not tightening.
My personal opinion of Dave Midura,is that he is not only incompetent, but also corrupt,(my opinion based on my personal dealings with Dave Midura)
If the agent that was involved in this shooting was from the FBI main office in Baltimore, MD. the head of the FBI in Baltimore and the State of Maryland is a Liz Hunt.
Under Nixon, the FBI ran almost totally out of control, arming and training banana republic style death squads on indian reservations. These people have finally come to the point that they aren't even pretending to be an investgative agency anymore. Investigators don't wear black Nomex from head to toe, with black covered Kevlar and ceramic body armor and carry the same weapons issued to Special Forces. Secret Police like the Tontons Macoutes do that.
It's past time that we warn our self proclaimed "leaders" in elected office that this has to stop. We had better stand up, altogether, and demand that this sort of thing cease immediately, or we'll be unable to do so pretty soon.
Uh I am not in the business.
Just making my observations known about people like you(at least you are honest) who paint with a broad brush.
Yeah, I knew that someone would say this soon enough. Blame the rape victim for wearing a short skirt. Blame the robbery victim for carrying cash.
This is being done to us, not by us. I guess you think that everyone is at fault for what the criminal politicians who win rigged elections do just because a percentage of us voted in the election. Wake up, Unc. These people have no fear of us or of our votes.
