I don't have cable, but Bob in New York and Nancy in California told me that last night Hank Holzer cleaned Tom Hayden's clock, repeatedly correcting the factual record with an easy facility with quotes and dates and other details.

It's true. I watched the interview. Hayden and jane came up short.

Unfortunately we were betrayed twice by the jane incident. Once by her by what she did and said, and second by the government that didn't the proper action against her.

It's one thing to speak your mind in our country about something, and it's another to physically go into enemy territory, & be linked arm and arm with them in your criticisms.

We'll never know how much of a morale boost that was to them, and how many fellow Americans were killed or maimed because of her actions.

Thanks for the ping. A little over a year ago I had the opportunity to exchange brief e-mails with Hank Holzer. He saw that some people were going to his related Hanoi Jane Internet site from a link on a conservative veterans' page I maintained at the time. What I came away from this exchange was that he was very well prepared to handle any and all issues concerning this bit of treason by an American very popular within certain powerful circles and by others who have no memory beyond the previous day's lunch. He is keeping alive a very important issue here and deserves our support, he earned it the hard way. Kudos to Mr. Holzer.

I saw it and this is an accurate description. Holzer was visibliy disgusted - it was quite powerful. As soon as I watched it a few times (I have TiVo, and I found the segment riveting so the rewind feature came in handy), I got online and ordered the book. I can't wait to get it.
