Sorry I was off looking for a "f" letter .. I burned out the one I had ..
We were about 30 miles into Kali, and a big barn owl flew into the side of his F250 Pickup just at dusk.
We didn't see it hit the truck. We thought that we had hit an antelope. He stopped the truck, and there were feathers and blood all over the cab door on the passenger side. The owl was about 100 feet back, deader than a door nail. We went back and thought about getting some feathers to tie some fishing flies (fly fisher do weird things like that.)
Fortunately we turned the flashlight on the bird before we picked it up. It was loaded with all types of crawling and hopping bugs. So we left it. The bird stank!
There was a small indent about the size of a softball where the owl hit on the pickup's door. What you are talking about was in a huge pile by the dead owl! It was really bad stuff since the mouse had been eating a lot of mice. That pile would have ruined anyone's day!
