I’m tired of these atheists’ knocking on my door holding the Book of Darwin

The THEORY of evolution. Hey, Nice THEORY! No, really – a beautiful story about how man might have been created. The Darwin bible though has been interpreted by many to ‘soot’ their own beliefs. They preach this stuff as it were fact and leave out the most important word of any THEORY - the word ‘IF’.

I mean you never hear them say, “IF’ the Evolution of life on earth proceeded in two stages: chemical and biological. Life on earth must have developed from inorganic materials- what else was there for it to come from? The first stage in the development of life, therefore, was the production of a reproducing cell from materials at hand on the early earth. This process is called chemical evolution.... Once a living, reproducing system was present, the process of natural selection took over to produce the wide variety of life that exists today. This from the gospel of evolution.

They state this mumbo jumbo as if it were fact. They always leave out ‘IF’. I mean, it’s a darn THEORY isn’t it? Heck, they even ridicule those who believe otherwise. They hide behind this so called faith in Darwin. Although Darwin was just a prophet of ‘their’ science.

Hey, don’t get me wrong, I appreciate science. I even think that evolution is an interesting THEORY – but why should we preach about Darwin in our schools. I mean evolution is thoroughly compatible with religion-when the object of worship is evolution; and we must keep a separation between religion and state. It doesn’t say that in the Constitution, but hey, it sounds like a darn good idea!

Don’t get me wrong, some evolutionists are starting to understand Intelligent Design. But there is still a majority that thinks evolution has somehow disproved the existence of God. Wow, even their prophets Darwin and Nietzsche understood the dangers that posed.

I am an American and believe that everyone should worship as they chose, but keep your Darwin propaganda out of my child’s school and my country’s laws. It's like some kind of ACLU / 700 club.

There are NO Facts to back up intelligent design, it is a disguised version of creationism. You cannot prove something that is supposed to be taken on faith, that is why it is based on faith, it CANNOT be proven.

And since he is obviously NOT going to look up the word theory and its definition, I will do it for him.

the·o·ry [theeeree , theeree ] (plural the·o·ries) noun

5. scientific principle to explain phenomena: a set of facts, propositions, or principles analyzed in their relation to one another and used, especially in science, to explain phenomena

the·o·ry Pronunciation Key (th-r, thîr) n. pl. the·o·ries

A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena.

The branch of a science or art consisting of its explanatory statements, accepted principles, and methods of analysis, as opposed to practice: a fine musician who had never studied theory.

A set of theorems that constitute a systematic view of a branch of mathematics.

Abstract reasoning; speculation: a decision based on experience rather than theory.

A belief or principle that guides action or assists comprehension or judgment: staked out the house on the theory that criminals usually return to the scene of the crime.

An assumption based on limited information or knowledge; a conjecture.

You are using the word as if "theory" automatically meant uncertainty about its validy. It doesn't. In science a theory is just a set of ideas that explain something. Even a theory that is completely proven is still a theory.

So, never the two should mix? How is that possible?

What mix. It's all mix, thats what I would think to be a good education. In philosophy class I studied Christianity, Judiesm, Islam, Buddism, Taoism, etc, along with Kant, DsCarte(sp?), Pacsal, etc. In science I studied lots of theorys, math, biology, geology, ect. Many have been proven, disproven, or modified in the 20 years since I was in school. I studied "social studies", learned about communism, socialism, facsism, capitolism, etc. I never remember my teachers teaching or preaching this one is "good" or this one is "bad".

My parents and my church taught me right from wrong, good from bad. As it should be I think.

I know you must feel dumb for not knowing what "theory" means, but you don't have to call yourself a fool. It's a common misunderstanding.

JimRob just got after me for "bashing" religion. What you have said passed anything I said about a certain religion which was highlighted in a recent International sports gala. Their members got all worked up and got the thread pulled.

Here is what he said, when asked for clarification:

"Just don't want people bashing each other because of their religion or bashing the religion itself. "
Jim

It's his forum, and you can thank some of the 11 million for lowering the bar of sensitivity, but fair is fair. God help me if I find a Mormon bashing Islam for pork, virgins, or Allah.

There are NO Facts to back up intelligent design,

Sorry, your wrong. You are either ignorant of the theory or just too dogmatic in your faith (evolution) to explore other theories and possibilities.

What's the matter, evolution can't take a little competition?

Intelligent design theories belongs in the class, also. What's wrong with that?

Write a book, get published, get a doctorate degree, start teaching. When it has had a big enough following for long enough, it may be introduced into educational curriculum. Where would "Intelligent design theories" fit? Science, philosophy, in between or somewhere else alltogeather?

See what I mean, the creationists ATTACK, they don't try and refute, they attack. And when they do try and refute, the argument is ridiculous.

Keep your FAITH based religious fantasies in the philosophy class, and evolution will stay in the science class. Faith=philosophy, theory=science, intelligent design=philosophy, That is where it stands folks. Dem's the facts thank goodness. I don't want a faith based religious belief taught as fact, just as I would not want Communism taught as an excellent political philosophy.

The attacks are getting pretty ridiculous though, and it makes me laugh every time a creationist does it. Because it shows me just how ridiculous thier arguments are when they have to resort to personal attacks to discredit the person arguing with them.

There are NO facts to prove intelligent design, it is just as faith based as creationism is. Give me actual facts to PROVE intelligent design, or point in that direction and I'll think on it, but until then it is just as faith based as creationism.
