Just heard a news break from Rick Sanchez saying the Bush administration is going to hold the Clinton administration responsible for pressing peace talks in a volatile situation that they knew would result in more violence against Israel beginning in 2000....more to follow during briefing. But apparently Ari is going to have something big to say on this and where the U.S. is going to go with the situation in Israel and the war on terrorism.

I think it is the old jewish vote to be honest and the pro-abortion that gets them to vote (democrat). An exit poll in Philly in 2000 showed Gore got 95% of the over 65 group, 78% of those between 30 and 50 but Bush won by about 7% the under 30 Jewish vote. Going to take a long time for things to change.

Actually, if the transcript below is correct, then Ari DID backpeddle on the subject a little bit: (this was taken the beginning of this thread):
"White House spokesman Ari Fleischer rejected the notion that President Bush's policies have not worked, noting that the violence began while Clinton was still in office. And he turned aside the idea of talking with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat as Clinton did, saying Bush does not want to create false expectations.
Clinton tried to "push the parties beyond where they were willing to go," Fleischer said. "It led to expectations raised to such a high level that it turned to violence."
During his last months in office, Clinton was heavily engaged in pressing Arafat and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to strike an accord, but his intensive diplomacy failed. Fleischer said neither side was ready to agree, and the intensity and breakneck pace set by Clinton "led to expectations raised to such a high level that it turned to violence."
"You can make the case that in an attempt to shoot the moon and get nothing, more violence resulted," Fleischer said. "The parties didn't want to agree to what the United States was pushing for.
"It is important to be careful in the region, to proceed at a pace that is achievable and doable, and not to raise people's expectations falsely too high," Fleischer said. "The failure to reach that level created unmet expectations."
I watched the whole thing, and Ari refused to clarify his earlier statements about the Clinton administration being the ones who "shot for the moon"...I think this article pretty much states that this was Ari's position. If it wasn't, as he claimed during the press conference, then he should not have said "Clinton" so much.
I'm not bashing Ari, but you can see where the press is gonna go with this. He said one thing, then wouldn't back it up during the press briefing.

Hillarious. Ari won't even touch mentioning Clinton at all now in the latest WH Press Briefing. It were as if the he got castrated earlier in the day.
Gotta get the transcript of this one.

"Must have been Les Nesmith from WKRP. " That's Les Nessman.

Hi everybody......I appreciate the pings to help me keep up........I've been in and out since last Friday; the baby girl was in the hospital Sunday and Monday, trying to find out why she was projectile vomiting, so I'm helping out! I need to go into TRAINING for this grandma stuff......it's pretty tiring!
So far, after many tests, they have found nothing wrong; I suggested last night we examine her parents......LOL.

Yes, it was April who drew the circle!!!! Implying that since Clinton's plan was working "so well," that maybe Bush is to blame! Boy, she sure came up with that in quick time since the gaggle! Unbelievable! Who is April, anyway? (TV is in the next room) I heard her speaking, but didn't see who she was. Is she the one from 'Urban Radio'?

They know what they're doing. They got the press all spun up and Ari can't be "quoted" as bashing Clintnoid. This will be on all the talking shows tonight and some of them will dig up the press quotes Ari quoted and the Mitchell Plan will come to the front ! You'll see a bunch old clintoids on the talking show defending his actions !

Want to bet Mitchell will be on Larry King tonight or tomorrow ?

Actually, if the transcript below is correct, then Ari DID backpeddle on the subject a little bit... He may have, but leave it to MSNBC to immediately point that out, within seconds of breaking away from the conference.
