Good Grief! Steyn just keeps getting better and better! I love his term "Fiskal responsibility"! Fisk does come off as a 'vain buffoon' in his comments about the mob that attacked him. I went back and read an article about his whooping. To paraphrase his comments, "It wasn't me they were mad at, you understand, it was that mean old USA! If they weren't bombing everything in sight, these people could go back to their lovely peaceful lives!" YEAH RIGHT!
I saw an interview with that famous 'war slut' Christianne Amanpour a couple of weeks ago. She said even considering Pearl's kidnapping, she STILL would go out as he did for a story. She thinks she can help the Islamic fanatics (my description, not hers, mind you) get 'their story' out. That's just INSANE!
By all means I think we should encourage her to fulfill her dreams.
And don't tell her how the chechens kidnapped and murdered not only aid workers bringing much needed food, but red cross personnel, and those few journalists who went to chechnya already completely on the side of the chechens.
