Absolutely brilliant. When Pat Roberstson criticised Islam recently and the drumbeat began in the media to demonize him for his opinion, it suddenly stopped and died.

Why? Because of the beheading of Danial Pearl who left a lovely pregnant wife and a future child who will never know his or her courageous INNOCENT father.

My Arab readers, while you may think Robertson impertinent for his remarks, I think your lack of outrage at the Pearl slaughter far more evil.

Yeah, they don't hate us because we give Israel the money and weapons to kill Palestinians, or because we've supported murderous dictators (e.g., the Shah, Hussein, the Saudis) who have repressed and slaughtered their own people, or because our troops are based in and near their holy city. Terrorism is the tool of those who lack the weaponry to fight on an even playing field. Arabs use terrorism because they lack weapons of mass destruction and the means to deliver them. They use terrorism because they lack a military force that can stand up to our own.

But that leads to a problem.

The only way to truly win a War on Terrorism is to annihilate the enemy, because if you don't, he will come back again and again with his single warrior terrorists. You can't conquer him. You can't even enslave him. You have to commit genocide.

I don't think Mr. Bush or his people have grasped this yet.
