What allowed Nazism to come to power in Germany--which was a Republic at the time--was not the inattentiveness of a "pagan" people, but a Christian.
And it was also a Christian people who brought it down.
We're starting to walk in circles, but I'd like to make my point clear cause I haven't stated it that well.
Naziism succeeded in Germany despite Christianity. Hitler understood that Christianity was a threat to him, which is why he wanted to destroy it. Radical Islam is succeeding because of the basic tenets of Islamic doctrine. The leader of the Islamic movement (Mohammed) is no better than the leader of the Nazi movement (Hitler). I do not deny that many people claiming to be Christians have done many horrible things, but when they did so they did it in spite of Christianity. When people do horrible things in the name of Allah, they do it because of Islam. That is the difference.

Sobieski with his husaria charged toward Kara Mustafa's headquarters and seeing this, Mustafa's army fled in panic.Indeed. Europe sometimes seems to forget the debt it owes to the bravery of Sobieski and his Polish Winged Hussars on that day.
