the terrorists used a Karachi-based Pakistani journalist to deliver the video; he received it a couple of days earlier, but it took him 24 hours to convince the US Consulate in Karachi to take him seriously enough to view it.

I wonder if this Pakistani journalist made a copy of this tape? I've heard several people here and on the radio express their desire for this tape to be shown, and I think this would be the only way it would get out to the public. Personally, I don't want to see it, I get sick just thinking about it.

One of the three men in jail in Karachi on suspicion of involvement in the kidnapping, Fahad Naseem, allegedly confessed that Omar Sheikh, the British national considered to be the brains behind the crime and who is also in custody, told him that Mr Pearl had been abducted because he was a "Jew working against Islam."

In what sense had Pearl been "working against Islam"? My understanding was that his reporting on them in connection with the war on terrorism was rather sympathetic. Could this be a reference to his work on Kosovo, which denied the alleged genocide?

A shame this article, or one similar to it, will NEVER be published in an American newspaper. I have spoken to a number of people about Pearl's execution, and NOT ONE had heard that he was beheaded.

There is a long and sordid tradition of this sort of thing in that part of the world. Contrary to much of the anti-Christian secular humanist propaganda that we are usually inundated with, similar Muslim atrocities are what provoked the Crusades. Some of these terrorist types are just addicted to all sorts of gruesome torture techniques and, grotesquely and horrifically, chopping off heads is one their favorites. I think it is very important to keep in mind that these are lunatics and psychos in the classic sense. Psycho killers. You can't wait around for them to strike. You have to hunt them down and kill as many of them as you find BEFORE they are given the opportunity to get access to innocent victims. The military should level the areas where they have their bases and headquarters. The U.S. shouldn't be waiting for their next attack in the U.S. or when they finally figure out how to detonate a dirty bomb or nuke. Commando, Green Beret, Special Forces units should be hunting them down and terminating them with extreme prejudice. The only way the barbaric Muslim invasions of Europe where stopped in past history was by the Christian Europeans getting organized and kicking their butts with decimating force. They are actually pussies once you get them on the run.
