This "axis of evil" business is exposing the press for what it is - a bunch of empty suits full of themselves with no regard for the American people. The only ones clamoring about the "axis of evil" are the press and liberal pundits. They appear to be totally out of touch. The biggest applause Cheney got on Leno was when he said "I think the American people appreciate President Bush because he is someone who is willing to tell it like it is." Something to that effect. All the hand-wringing is by the limp wristed weaklings in the news/entertainment media.

This is also another example about how the news media only cover the politics rather than the substance or reality of the situation. They do this ALL THE TIME with legislation. Hardly ever mention the issues involved (look at CFR) but only look at the political ramifications. It is all just a game in their eyes, no matter how grave the consequences be it limits on free speech or national security.

God, I hate the press.

I was so upset (but not surprised) that Bush's China speech last night was not covered by CNN or anyone else, for that matter. In my opinion, it was absolutely brilliant. It knocked at the door of China the same way the "Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall" speech by Reagan did. No one covered it but Fox. Today the news outlets are reporting on nothing but Pearl and the Olympics. CNN found it much more important to televise Larry King and William Shatner. They are disgusting.
