Heard of him? I was on the USAF transport that took Senator J. William Fulbright (please note the correct spelling) and Senator Wayne Morse, another pompous windbag, to Southeast Asia. As "elites," they got the same treatment we cannon fodder got: their bags were unceremoniously dumped on the ramp and after waiting for the VIP car that never showed, they like us picked up their baggage and walked through the steamy Philippine heat to Base Ops. So much for "elites."
Now, what was your point?
WOW! You saw them inconvenienced ONCE,so you conclude there weren't "elites",and lived no better than you and your fellow enlisted scum? Just "plain folks",right? Did your mama drop you on your head a LOT,or are you just a professional liar for the DNC?
We were? Are you serious?
Even MORE importantly, how could a American who had had access to top secret intelligence about a war we are in with the communists manage to travel to the communist "Holy Land" in Moscow and visit the embassy of the very country we are at war with without being investigated?
You mean college boy Bill had access to top secret intelligence? Really? Has the FBI been informed?
Again you assume facts not in evidence. Enlisted people are not scum but are in fact the folks who keep you free to utter such uninformed statements. And I was not enlisted. So in the space of three words--fellow enlisted scum--you have made my point. Many here make up "facts" to help them attack what they do not understand. Most of the Bush Bashers here are share that trait. Thank you.
Yes. You had to get permission to visit a communist country back then,ESPECIALLY if you had ever been exposed to classified or sensitive information.
You mean college boy Bill had access to top secret intelligence? Really? Yes,really. He even BRAGGED about it in his letter to ROTC Colonel Holmes. He said something similiar to "my work for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee made me privy to information most Americans didn't have, and this only made me more convinced the war was wrong." Try to spin your way out of that one.
Has the FBI been informed?
Desperately trying to belittle the message, ain't ya? The truth is,"Yeah, the FBI were informed". Now I guess you are going to try to pretend Fulbright didn't have enough influence to get this overlooked?
This is indeed sad.

"MONTERREY, Mexico: ----- ------- yesterday said Americans are duty-bound to 'share our wealth' with poor nations and promised a 50 percent increase in foreign aid, but 'We should give more of our aid in the form of grants, rather than loans that can never be repaid,' he said. 'We should invest in better health and build on our efforts to fight AIDS, which threatens to undermine whole societies.'
"In addition to the moral, economic and strategic imperatives of increasing foreign aid, ----- ------- said, it could also help in the war against terrorism.
"'We will challenge the poverty and hopelessness and lack of education and failed governments that too often allow conditions that terrorists can seize and try to turn to their advantage.'"
Here's a small political quiz. Who is quoted above?
a) George McGovern
b) Bill Clinton
c) Al Gore
d) Al Sharpton
e) Jesse Jackson
f ) Ted Kennedy
g) George W. Bush
Hint: He's very popular here at Free Republic.
Ah,more proof the AF has too many officers.
So in the space of three words--fellow enlisted scum--you have made my point.
You HAVE no point, other than "Bubba-1 and Bubba-2 be good!" BTW,I was a career NCO in the army,so don't try that crap with me.
Many here make up "facts" to help them attack what they do not understand. Most of the Bush Bashers here are share that trait. Thank you.
I understand you perfectly. You worship statists, and went from living up Bubba-1's butt to living up Bubba-2's butt. Your lame attempt to "prove" Fulbright was "just plain folks" is proof of this.
Now you tell me. Is that the same as "forbidden" which is the term you used previously?
He said something similiar to "my work for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee made me privy to information most Americans didn't have...." Try to spin your way out of that one.
Okay, I will. You and I believe approximately 0% of everything the former prez has to say on any subject. But you lock onto this obvious boast by a pimply-faced young Bill as the gospel truth and you translate his "information most Americans didn't have" into Bill had access to top secret intelligence. Seems a bit of a stretch to me. In fact I am shocked that you would believe young Bill so easily.
Now I guess you are going to try to pretend Fulbright didn't have enough influence to get this overlooked?
Influence with whom? LBJ hated his guts and referred to him as "Halfbright." Nixon loved him less.
Eloquence too! How clever. Now if we can just find some facts to help you out.
In sum, the district court correctly dismissed Hall's Fifth Amendment Bivens and 42 U.S.C.A. S 1985(1) claims for lack of subject matter jurisdiction because they are barred by the CSRA. In other words, the courts agreed that Hall's claims did not belong in court. That hardly justifys the shrill outbursts heard on this forum implying that the President shipped bags of dollars to Clinton's attorneys. But some folks grasp at every straw .........
If you are referring to your flawed interpretation of our President's beliefs your presumption is correct. Your misguided and utterly incorrect interpretation is not important to me.
This is the kind of response a seventh grade English teacher would throw in the trash. Go put this on your head and sit in the corner until the bell rings:
..and thanks to discoveryschool.com for the lovely .gif!

I don't snatch things out of the air. When Bubba hired lawyers to defend him from the Paula Jones/Starr investigation he ran up a bill for $10,000,000 at Bennett and company in lawyers fees. Hollywood leftists took up a collection and donated $2,000,000 to pay part of it. Hillary would need to do similarly. Shrub has voulunteered to extract her from that difficulty. You must be new in town not to be aware of any of this. Or perhaps you are desperately determined to relieve shrub from lapses of intelligence and/or irresponsibility.
Nobody gets any slack at my house. Bush needs to be held accountable for his actions the same as anybody else. He's getting Hillary off the hook. She's one of the most evil presences, and powerful ones, I have seen in my lifetime and Bush is aiding and protecting her from just consequences of her actions. Consequently, I have absolutely no respect for Bush. What is there about any of this that is hard for you to understand.
