Here's an article that gives a good example of Massachusetts and it's "conservative" localities...

The cretin judge's statement that the victim 'should get over it', tells me that he is secretly guilty of the same crimes in his lifetime. Background investigations will probably expose those kinds of dirty secrets. (no, I don't have any inside info...nor am I an 'expert'. I've just found that most idiots who act and speak in such callous ways, are guilty. Like a spouse who screams 'infidelity' on their faithful partner, are usually guilty of the cheatin' thang)

People there should start a ballot initiative to pass a law making judges personally responsible for the future crimes these criminals commit. If not in criminal court, then at least open them up to cival suits. I wonder how long it would take one of robed thugs to rule that law to be unconstitutional?

Missing from the article is an account of what took place, what the defendent confessed to. With the wide definition of rape these days, this is pertinant information to the story.

Was it date rape? Did the defendent force entry into the house, then rape her? Was there a party going on?

You have trhe right approach. Railing against bad individuals seldom produces results. Odds are he has a bacjkground himself, or has close family that would be VERY embarassed by a close look into their past. This judge has to live out his life in a community that should know more about him, and should, at least, be constantly reminded of what he has done.

Obviously Murphy is unfit to be a judge.

We need to know more about the rapist. Are his parents friends of the judge? Rich? Or did McSweeney perform some special favors for the judge?

You are exactly RIGHT!

I pity anyone who lives within close contact with this lowlife. Imagine what life must be like for his wife/daughter/mother/female relatives.

If the 14 year old girl and her mother decide to really push this in the courts I will gladly contribute to their legal fund. I'd like to see this judge removed from the bench. Doubtful though, all of his liberal buddies will protect him.

Massachusetts is a Liberal wasteland! This is just further proof. Flame me if you will, but it's the truth!

``She can't go through life as a victim,'' Murphy told a prosecutor, according to courthouse sources. ``She's 14. She got raped. Tell her to get over it.''

WHAT THE .... UN@&$^$^@&@BELIEVABLE

Is it possible to sue a Judge???

The young victim maintained her composure yesterday as she responded to his comments.

This 14 year old is showing a lot more maturity and common sense than the judge will display. She could replace him and Mass. would be a better state for it.

I agree that the judge must have some questionable conduct in his past. I wonder how many girls from his high school days have terrible memories of him?

A few weeks back the local talk radio blasted a Judge for giving a man 5 years probation for raping a 4 yr old girl ..

UNBELIEVABLE ... well as it turned out an bunch of callers called in .. some of them retired police officers .. all telling how the Judge in this case has a history of letting criminals go with just a slap on the wrist ..

And the Powers to Be don't understand why the people don't trust the Justice System

Well this is an example why .. WHO holds these Judges accountable for their actions???

I don’t believe any decent man could say this. Wait until he has children a daughter then maybe he may change his mind on rape.
