BUMP!
To ALTER the facts as they occured for the purpose of promoting a race-based agenda is SICKENING! The fact that someone or some group of people felt the need to take this easily newly engrained image in the american psyche and alter it for their own agenda IS ignorant in my eyes. Racial diversity is the not what is captured in that photo, nor was ANTI-racial diversity. It was simply an inspirational flash, captured on film, used to help mend a fatally wounded nation of millions. Obviously, the agenda being pushed by altering that image into the factless effigy that I have seen is not the point. The point is this: people who consider themselves American (by nature, by choice, by proximity or even by spirit) identified with the "story" told by that picture. 3 individuals, who's race SHOULDN'T MATTER, took it upon themselves to try and raise the spirits of ALL of those who witnessed or are working in the horror and debris around them by raising a symbol, a reminder of our country's strength and courage..
